JOBBY  I tried to convert a mounted CD to an ISO — ISOlator gave an Applescript error and left the system thinking there was nothing in the drive, even though the CD was still inside. I had to reboot to get it back!

JOBBY  (for those in the same situation, try opening Terminal and typing 'disktool -e disk1' first - may save you a reboot :)

MACUPDATE ADMIN  I googled "ISOlator.dmg" and found it on some mirror in Poland.

I've since mirrored it here.

WJB3WVU  Works great. Directions are simple, but do read them.

This was the only program that allowed me to back up my GPS DVDs where others failed.

ANDY W  This is a wonderfully effective, simple to use program. Just open the program and drag the disc icon onto the window, and it creates a perfect copy in ISO format. The only thing I would ask for in a future version would be a progress bar so the user knows how much longer the task will take. Nonetheless, this is an invaluable tool that will forever be in my applications folder.

MICHAEL MOORE  Sorry my site went down. There have been over 1200 downloads today, and I'm not sure if there's a quota or something on my connection. Here's a link that should work on my school account. Might be faster too.

MLEIII  The link seems to be broken. I couldn't download or open the developer's webpage. (using Safari, Firefox and Opera on 10.4.1, 06/27/05, 12:55PM PST)

ANONYMOUS  Ah, what I would have given for this last week, when I needed to send a project CD from a Mac to a PC client. I ended up re-ripping it on a PC just to get the standard ISO format.

The interface could definitely use work, however. The icon is of a document (which is always a no-no and confusing), and the application itself still has traces of "About Application" and other unfinished business. I'd also recommend adding a "Open" and "Save" menu items if people would rather use that than drag and drop.
