GCOGHILL Excellent utility. Having the color icon indicating charging status is perfect. And having Growl support is great too. I use this in conjunction with Slim Battery Monitor: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14083/slimbatterymonitor (Version 2.6.9)

8OO8 For just battery info this works just fine, but for lots more in addition to battery info check out "iStat nano", a widget that includes a whole range of readouts for your 'book. (Version 2.6)

CMUVIOLIN if you think the icon in the menu is ugly and don't want it there, and would like a nice looking widget (Version 2.1)

DINHBG Plus, this widget has Growl notification to let you know when you're down to 25% (or whatever you say)... much safer than the "you're now on reserve power" that's the standard OS warning.... (Version 2.6.3)

MACMARIA Because this app does much more than showing how much battery you have left. It checks its behavior and allows comparation with a database of similar batteries. More so, like it was said before, it warns you (via Growl or via the app itself) what's the level and status of the battery. (Version 2.6.5)

ANONYMOUS Great software. The developer is a great guy who listens to user requests and answers very promptly. The app itself works well and (IMO) has the nicest graphics of all the battery widgets out there. And about the 5: you can find those in the subway if you're lucky. I gladly paid them for the excellent and friendly support I received. (Version 1.5)

I payed my fiver for it as its the best battery widget out there, and the fact that the developer listens to users and has included growl notification to me speaks highly of the guy. Better to be a player than a player hater, if you don't like it move along. (Version 1.5)

SOYPUNK Whoever said to use Battorox is crazy... it is nothing like this widget. Would someone mind listing the widget(s) that this one is a carbon copy of? (Version 1.4)

ANONYMOUS Claudio Procida, You make a bad name for Mac developers when you copy an existing widget and then try to sell it for $5. I hope people don't get suckered into buying this before they realize there are a half-dozen FREE versions of this same thing out there already. MacUpdate - why, why, why is this listed on the right along with other top progams?? (Version 1.1)

MAC NEW USER Maybe it's beautiful even though useless. Just like earring for lady. It didn't serve any purpose but just the beauty of it. So I think it's not entirely right to criticize those people who selling earring by saying that they copy other's idea with it's own style.... just like what you did in your comment, don't you think so? I say that because the original battery status which place at menu bar already serve the purpose. Why do we need another display to pop up in Dashboard. Thus for those who really appreciate the art work of this widget and feel that it worth $5, go for it. For those feel that it's not the type of utility widget serve the purpose, just forget it. You have the right to complain if Claudio copy your patent. Or else if somebody else patent been copy and didn't make any complain, why would you? Again, I still feel that it's useless. I won't use it in my Mac even it's free. (Version 1.1)

ANONYMOUS "Artwork"? That's funny. There is no creativity in this widget, it's a carbon copy of other FREE widgets out there that do the same thing. The only difference is this guy is trying to make people pay $5 for his copy! (Version 1.2)

MAC NEW USER Come on friend, you still haven't figure out what I trying to say. People have their right to sell anything they like at any price they quote. The decision is still with the customer. And there's no standard definition for art. Whether they took other idea or create their own. Just like a little girl come to you with smile and say "Do you want a flower? It's only $5 each" Will you said "hah, you got to be kidding, you didn't create this flower your own, you took it from a plant don't you? How can I pay $5 for a non effort product.?" You get what I mean? Normally I'll say "Thank you, I don't need it." I will not use this widget even it's FREE! That's my comment. (Version 1.2)

ANONYMOUS If you spend $5 on this, you're a fool. And Claudio, quit whining about, "Am I supposed to not get reimbursed for my work?" People who are trying to sell something need to think about their target audience, not just photocopy an Apple widget and then wonder why people won't suddenly feel the urge to pull fives out of their wallet and send them to you. MAC NEW USER Is it true that the developer copy other's widget and sell it? If there's a same function, interface, graphic and intelligent widget, then we can claim that he was copy. Or else, we shouldn't simply jump to conclusion. 5EURO might be for the beauty of his art work, not entirely for the function of it. Just like the price of a drawing should not be judge expensive by comparing with a white paper; saying that it's the same material so call paper. And again, there's no boundary for art design and expression, so I believe the developer still have the right to quote the rate he feel it worth. On the other hand, I personally prefer the original battery indicator that locate at menu bar. It's simple, clear, "responsive" and free. I'm more towards practical usage vs art, thus there's no reasons for me to invest any figure for this utility. Even it's free, I won't invest any small amount of system memory for artwork either. Thanks. (Version 1.1)

MAC NEW USER First of all, I never complain any body quote the effort. For sure I'll be appreciate if it is for free, but everybody has the right to sell what ever thing created. For this utility, I prefer the original battery status that place on top of the menu bar. Because I prefer to see the status at any moment rather than press a F12 key to check. I believe moving your focus point to right top corner is far faster than pressing F12. So I personally feel that this utility is useless to me. (Version 1.1)

If you hit the information button there is a registration looking code already in the box, you can just hit done...Whether or not this has meaning I don't know. It works for me and hasn't promted me to make a purchase. So make what you will of that. (Version 1.1)

ANONYMOUS $5 is ridiculous and anyone who would think of paying it is seriously on the 'dim' side. This is out there for FREE with many variations. It's almost crazy that MacUpdate would post this widget... it's pure plagerism. (Version 1.0)

CLAUDIO Well, maybe you ignore the meaning of the term "shareware". Why should you pay for it? Well, if you don't want to, you don't have to. The widget works even without registering. But tell me why should I develop for free? For Steve's sake? (Version 1.1)
