MACLOVER1.1 I'd get this.. if... it had the ability to keep the window on top of all others if you chose to (like Scribblet).. I also like the Sidenote setup where the window glides from a screen side.. myNotes is better in the organizational sense but I really need an app with a "remain on top" toggle behavior... myNotes could be Perfect... hint... ;-) (Version 1.5.8)

LUCKY13 Clean - simple - fast -reliable. For me, anything more is just a complication. myNotes is great for holding all manner of notes, thoughts, instructions, links and so forth. It offers good export and print options as well. I'd really change only one thing: A single group that was dedicated to items sent from the System Services menu. (Version 1.5.5)

CAPTVIJAY One of the best Notes Manager. The search feature is amazing fast. Very stable product. Its one of the products which I would use daily. It would have been best if developer could provide menubar search interface. I know spotlight can be used for searches but it searches everywhere. Instead it would be best if we have myNotes specific search bar in menu. I would appreciate developers response on this feature request. (Version 1.4.12)

ERICG My initial impression of this app is very positive. Does anyone know how to move a MyNotes file from one Mac to another? I sent this inquiry to the developer, but have not heard back from him. Without this capacity (which is essential, I believe), the application is of little use to me, despite its many useful features. (Version 1.4.12)

MACUPDATE ADMIN Went to the developer's site and then to the developer's blog . It appears that the file you want to move to your other Macs would be found here: Home/Library/Application Support/myNotes Not sure, as I do not use this app. (Version 1.4.12)

MAAR I think this will be a convinient sofware for students; especially those who are in universities and colleges. You can sync your notes into your iPod very quickly, you can print, and the best thing is that you can organise it neatly even if you are not the type who organises regularly. The display showing on the right bottom corner is very stylish and nice. The features in it are just great for students. You can record a speech, you can do a spell check, you can change the font .. etc. You can download it very quickly, and it is just VERY simplistic and easy to use, but maybe the design of the software itself is too simple? Well thats why it probably has the background feature to it..but, if there is a more stylish design to it, more people will probably start to use this. It was my first time seeing a software that allows the users to take notes ... Good features, make this software very convinient!!! (Version 1.4c)

EASER I'm not sure what more I can add to these reviews - they've covered all of the great features of this program. I would add that the developer quickly returned an e-mail, explaining a feature I didn't know the program had. Yet even more to love. You should definitely buy this. (Version 1.3.1)

KLAGRECA myNotes is looking good. Ease of use is king for note taking and this app has that. The three pane view is perfect for organization. With that said, I think this app could use some "love." 1. more robust bullet list control. 2. options for a font/formating/bullet controls via toolbar or box 3. UI tweaks (double click the notes field to start a new note) 4. maybe some kind of docking ability? I've tried a few note organization tools and I can definitely say this one should be on your consideration list. (Version 1.3.1)

JOHN F. Fun and easy single database notebook for keeping all your text snippets and ideas in one place. Easy export of all files and folders. Import is per folder only. Very nicely designed with the idea of keeping it simple and pleasing to the eyes. I've tried many notebook apps, and this one is a keeper! You just instantly get it! And the automatic naming of new files is awesome. I think many developers can learn from this developer on how to make a very user friendly app with an interface that doesn't distract. Great concept + good aesthetic sense = Mac at its best! (Version 1.1.1)

MACMUSE This app is beautiful! I have bought other notepads in the past, but this one is so well-thought out in its design. I don't want to launch a huge program for little notes and clips as I go about my day, and that is why this one is so great... it is quick to launch, light in weight, and unobtrusive. Although there are other notepads that aren't like Microsoft Word in size, they just feel too big to keep running for note taking, but this one is perfect. I love how easily and accurately it displays a PDF or simple text document dragged into its window, images and all. A feature I would like to see implemented is "A Group within a Group" feature. RIght now, a Group functions as a folder (database category). I would like to have categories within that group; let's say, for example, a Group called "Software" and then further categorize it into types, like "Graphics", "Utilities", etc. all within the Group named "Software", so that the groups and content can be organized as well as the notes. That way the list won't be so long and it will be very concise as to what notes I am looking for. Very nice job, Mishimo! And I love your artistic touches, inspiration, etc. (Version 1.1)

MACONLYSOURCE I have used many diary like programs in the past including Sticky Brain. Many have been overkill or just too much for what I wanted. Mynotes falls in the middle where it has just the right amount of features, yet maintains its ease of use. Now only if there was someone who could make a widget to integrate into this app! iNotePad is the one to beat, #2 is iOrganize. Z-Write was wonderful on OS9, not so great on OSX (RealBasic i think) you must have global search. that is why iNotePad is #1; i like the GUI of iOrganize a bit better though (categories across the top, notes in the sidebar) (although the very best would be to also have drop-down menu to select notes from the category buttons, this way you can hide the sidebar unless creating a new note) you must allow to re-order notes manually. keep it simple! Jotz was the worst victim of cruft - it started out really good. maximum area for writing, least amount of distractions from icons, note titles, etc. good luck, it looks nice already! :) (well...and also allow non-metal/Aqua option for GUI pleace :) (Version 1.0e)

TOMAX no, not "show all notes with search term" - must be - "take me to + highlight search term" sequentially - i don't want to hunt around in long notes... (Version 1.0e)
| Jul 19 2005 |
When you enter a search term myNotes "shows all notes with search term" and when you click on any of those notes myNotes highlights search term _and_ scroll you there. Click on another note and it will again highlight and scroll. Highlight color might be gray and hard to notice if you're in Notes column, in that case then just hit ctrl+tab to switch to your note body and you'll see the highlighted word. Then use command+G to go to the next match (if there is one). Hope this helps :) (Version 1.0e)

ANONYMOUS You know, I like the column interface for notes. But nobody does it right, I almost feel like I need to learn software programming to create my own software. The biggest pain in the butt with these note type thingie's is that the three pane window is restrictive, why can't I add more columns, with each node being available to be commented on in the notes area. Simple, but nobody else seems to need that. Think omni outliner in column mode, with the note section always exposed. MyNotes is so much more elegant than say Idea knot but lacks in features, which is ok. It is fast, responsive, have not pushed to the extremes but till now I have faced no problems. The biggest problem, right now, that I have from not using it daily is the save option or the lack of it. You can only have one note which I find ridiculous. In ideaknot, I have several lists for several things. A multiple note option is a must. But overall, this program is neat, I would love to store my notes here because the interface feels right in terms of its looks. But please break the three-column trap, let the user have more than one note to work with, and embrace OPML. (Version 1.0d)

Thanks for your feedback, I'm listening to it. Actually, I started learning programming because I need a note-taking application that works in my way, like no one else:) So myNotes is my vision of note-manager. Unfortunately I can't suit needs of all users, but I will try. Maybe myNotes will never be as feature-rich as other such programs, but it will always be a user-friendly, stylish and easy to use application. (Someone has to be, right?)

ANONYMOUS Great app for storing all those tid bits of information, whether random ideas or for To Do Items. One feature that would be greatly appreciated would be some sort of password option for Groups and Notes, so that certain info could be safeguarded, nothing fancy like encryption just a password box would be wonderful.
