MACUSER47 I've tried to contact the developer a few times and haven't heard back. I'd like to use his code to make a football scores widget. If the developer reads this instead of his email I'd like to get permission to modify the code.

LORD YO Great Program/Widget, in my opinion better than the ESPN widget apple gives you, I used it all through last season and I look foward to using it this season!! It would be nice to see this develpor make this kind of widget for other sports too though. (Version 1.3)

ANONYMOUS Edit: Seemingly only highlighting the losing team in the yankees 12-3 defeat of detroit tonight (5/24)...weird. (Version 1.2)

ANONYMOUS I realized right after I upload this that the persistant preferences messed up the ability to have multiple instances of this widget. I fixed that and re-uploaded it so if you are having problems with it please download the new build. (Version 1.1)

RHETT Great stuff! Team-tracking is a welcome addition! What I'd still like to see: -AL/NL Rankings displaying W-L (Probably just the first couple; with possible links to further web information if people want the full list). -After picking the team having some button to expand the widget to show the final scores to display the scores last few games, or some alternative way of team-tracking beyond a single game. -If possible text displaying when the next game is sceduled for and against who. YANKESS FAN In a not much more than a week this has gone from a great idea to a great widget. This is one of the few third party widgets to find a permanent place in my dashboard so far. There is a little typo in the games menu though. (Version 1.0)

RHETT Holy Crap! A Yankees fan who actually follows their own team?

ANONYMOUS is that so far fetched?? (Version 1.1)

ANONYMOUS i've said it before and i'll say it again, thanks. one thing you might consider is a way to set the scroll speed-- maybe a system like you have with the other backside pulldown menus. not a big deal though. awesome work! (Version 1.0)

YANQUIS FAN! awesome work dude, totally making dashboard well worth the upgrade. i would only have 2 feature requests, if it's too tough, or you don't wanna bother, i won't complain, but it would be nice to have choice of font, and a choice of what web site to go to when clicking for a box score, I usually prefer ESPN, or Yahoo, where my fantasy teams are, but either way, this widget rocks the party that rocks the bod-day! ANONYMOUS I'd love to be able to track specific teams, and also have more in-game information available (Bases, batter, pitcher, inning, strikes and balls, etc) updating how often the user sets it. This widget is shaping up to be something indispensable for any Baseball fan. (Version 0.5)

ANONYMOUS To track multiple games, you can just open another copy of the widget and set that to a different game. (Version 0.4)
| May 11 2005 |
ANONYMOUS It still doesn't update for me unless I relaunch the widget. The next step is to put in current pitcher and batter. Maybe make the title smaller to accommodate? Also today's performance for both (1-3, HR, e.g.). Would it be possible to replace the continuous scrolling with a scroll bar, or at least allow the user to adjust the speed? Great work so far, and excellent response time. (Version 0.3)

RYAN INSELMANN The current batter and extra stats you mentioned are not supported by the xml feed I use. The only way to get it from the foxsports site would be with some voodoo using the actual gametrax page, since not all of those stats are actually labled as anything meaningful. I tried using data from espn's site because I found an xml file with lots more info and it was also well organized, but it gets updated in strange ways. First a game would be in the top of the seventh, then the bottom of the sixth, and back and forth. The foxsports feed is more stable, but doesn't give as much info. I figured I would go for the stable stats and just provide a link to the more detailed stuff. (Version 0.4)

ANONYMOUS good lord! there is not stopping the incredible scrolling speed of this widget. i really wish there was team filtering. this is essential for me, espcially given the crazy scrolling. i read that you are trying to keep it simple, but the xml supports balls strikes and outs, this would be nice to include (optionally perhaps). thanks for your hanrd work. ANONYMOUS I really desperately need a widget like this, and I'm glad you're developing it. Is there any way I could click on the score to go to a recap/box score/game log? Also, is there any way it could display below the score the pitchers who recorded the win/loss (and save if applicable)? Also, the pause button just slows it down, doesn't actually stop it. Otherwise, I love it. (Version 0.2)

ANONYMOUS While I'm glad someone is releasing this it does lack a few easily fixed/added features. The easy ones first i'd like to see. A scrollable list rather than a changing board. and team filtering. but also maybe some previous scores if you wanted to see other days.. So far it's good enough for me though, I'm happy to see that someone wanted to make a widget I wanted bad =). (Version 0.1)

RYAN INSELMANN I am planning on making it scrollable but I probably won't add the previous day feature. Though I will probably add a link to mlb.com's scoreboard or something like that for people that want more detailed info. I'm going to try to keep the widget pretty simple but useful. (Version 0.1)

ANDREW T. It's an absolutely wonderful program, especially for a 0.1 release. I realize this is a lot to ask, but here it goes: The window being resizable would be great. The auto switching of screens to different scores would be great if it were manual instead. This could all be added into a preference pane. Keep up the good work, and go Mariners! (Version 0.1)

RYAN INSELMANN I'll be trying to clean up/fix other things before I get around to a resizable window, and I won't be adding team filtering, but when I get time I'm going to make another widget that just displays one game with more detail. That one will let you choose which game you want to display. (Version 0.1)
