D9  Yes, EyeTV 3 itself. As long as a copy is on each Mac, you can stream recordings between them.

MR.ASH  EyeConnect is a easy to use MediaCenter for OSX. It supports many diffrent devices like Sony's PS3. Unfortunatly PS3 support is not very stable at the moment.

The only issue here is the price 49,95$ is way too expensive and absolutly not worth the software. If you're looking for a better MediaCenter then try MediaLink witch is only 20$.

An an alternativ you can also try Twonky Media.

ISILVER  This is an Ok program, i like that it is a Pref Pane and not an application, this seems to keep it more accessible for the UPnP player to access (I seem to quit application based servers by accident).

I also like that it can access all files on the Mac and not just those in the User folder, this is the main problem with the software that came with my device.

Stability is good, no freezing issues when navigating or loading files.

GUI on the TV is pretty plain (that's common), generic blue background no icons, shows a good number of lines. Navigation is quicker and more responsive than some other servers too.

Bad Points - doesn't play FLACs and it is a tad expensive (€50).

At that price I'll wait and see what happens with this program over the next 6-12 months, hopefully the developers will realise that there is an opportunity here to become THE UPnP server on the Mac if they do it right.

ANONYMOUS  The following is from something called a "ReadMe":

Since any UPnP AV compatible devices will be recognized by EyeConnect, field reports from users with other devices than the ones listed below are especially welcome.

EyeConnect has been tested intensively with the following UPnP AV devices:

Buffalo LinkTheater PC-P3LWG/DVD

D-Link DSM-320 MediaLounge

GoVideo D2730

Netgear MP115

Philips Streamium SL400i

Philips Streamium MX6000i
