AZED No question... the software is getting better and better. My only problem is that the content has not enough variations. After a few weeks of use I got upset of always the same phrases and sounds just in a different order - and being upset just doesn't help to relax. (Version 2.7.1)

DANFICK This is excellent. I've used it daily for over a year now and can vouch for its 10-15 minute effect. I set the ipod to sleep timer for 30 minutes and load a pzizz track. Since investing in canalphones, I've noticed a dramatic improvement in sleep quality (if one can ever notice it) and now have settled on a 6.5 hour sleep pattern. It truly is a unique experience to have such a quick meditative state after a tough day - its a little like shaking an etch-a-sketch clean. I send heartfelt, independent thanks to the developers and thoroughly recommend this (especially if you're studying). (Version 2.7)

DOUG STEWART Truly a great program. It took a couple days of trying it out, but then I hit the right volume level combination to fall asleep quickly. I also began having dreams again while asleep after starting with Pzizz, something that I didn't remember having for years beforehand. My only criticism of the program is that despite all it offers, it still feels like it's missing something. It does one thing (well, two, if you count the energizer module), and it does it /very/ well, but back in the version 1.X days they had posted mentions of future plans/changes to Pzizz such as "different voices" and "different modules" (examples I remember included sports, somehow). It just seems like a program that while still great, hasn't really come up with anything new of substance in itself in a very long time. (Version 2.5)

JOESHMOE200US Great product. I'm in med school and am constantly stressed and this product has been a life-saver. After a few uses, I now fall asleep within 10-15 minutes of listening to the audio track. It has also helped me fit in a quick 20 minute nap. I've been telling all of my classmates about it, and they have had similar experiences with it. (Version 2.5)

JOEL MUELLER It's nice to see pzizz is now a Cocoa app, and the new interface is simple and clean. Nice step up! It would be cool to be able to add your own voice overs to the guy speaking, and use it for different types of things.... (Version 2.0)

MAC COGNOSCENTI Pzizz 2.0 works well - no surprises under the hood. I did have a minor issue when the updated licence keys didn't work, but Pzizz technical support replied quickly with updated licence keys which did work. Thank you, Brainwave for a useful product and excellent product support! (Version 2.0)

UMIJIN Looks like you have to submit your license key to get 2.0 upgrades. Mine (obtained via MacZot) from 1.7 did not work, so I wonder if their upgrade system is functioning yet. (Version 2.0)

PETERSCHAUFUSS They had some problem with the upgrade system. It should work now, but if you got faulty keys you can't retrieve new one, you need to email them (the web site will inform you when you try to get a new key). Oh, and it's free for registered users. (Version 2.0)

DAWSON54 Unique sessions, each tailored to what you need (a short power nap or a long, dreamy interlude) are facilitated and enhanced by Pzizz. I was skeptical at first. I thought this would be another white noise producer or some windchimes and breeze noises. No way. This is miles ahead of any such thing. It's miles ahead of anything else I've experienced, from hypnosis CDs to meditation instruction. As a huge fan of naps, hypnosis, meditation, and other deep relaxation, I am still a bit amazed that this software does its job so well. Use it for a while, and see for yourself. In today's frantic, stressed-out world, the act of stopping for a nap is not only counterintuitive, but downright revolutionary. (Version 1.7)

1MACGEEK Does what it says, and says what it does. That makes any software worth every penny. Plus, support is golden. They answered my tech support e-mail I sent in a 6:13 am. On a _Saturday_. Now, YMMV - but dude, to get an answer at that time of day so totally rocked! Do yourself a favor, buy this software, and get pzizzing already. (Version 1.7)

JPGODLEW This is a great product. It does what is avertised, and works like a charm. Pzizz puts you into deep meditation/sleep in just minutes. As a user of The Holosync Solution, I can tell you Pzizz is a great alternative! And not to mention, it costs about $110 less than the 1st level Holosync (and $240 less than all following levels) when you purchase both modules. And with the ability to generate new audio tracks, Pzizz is a great value. I'm not affiliated with the developer at all, in the interest of full disclosure :) (Version 1.7)

BUSCEMI I was a skeptic but after using Pzizz, I am a convert. Even the demo was effective but I knew I'd have to purchase to get the full effect. There is much more to this than any white noise or relaxing voice-based tape/CD. There are, as stated by others and their site, billions of combinations meaning you are unlikely to hear a repeat. I don't think I'd have been interested in the hardware version but as soon as I heard that you could sync with iTunes and an iPod I was sold. Power napping is a simple concept, but don't let that lead you to think this is simple software. It isn't birds chirping and a self-help healer voice. NLP and binaural beats are just part of a very complex system. I was skeptical. I'm sure many are. This isn't a large expenditure for a lot of people and if it helps you unlock your energy and awareness that seems like a small amount of money. Ever since I read that Thomas Edison used to lay down for many 15 minute power naps, I was intrigued by the concept. I'm not a person who sleeps 8 hours a night, so power naps are now essential. If only I could invent the next "light bulb" like good old Thomas Edison the power napper! (Version 1.7)

ERIKAB It's a cool idea, but I'm not thrilled with performance so far. Some of my problems may be user errors; it's hard to tell when documentation is nonexistent. Generating and listening to a nap on my computer worked OK; the problems arose when I tried to export files for use on my iPod (using the option to add a nap to an iTunes playlist). On the first try, the filename showed up in iTunes, but the file (per iTunes, Spotlight, and every other search method I could think of) simply did not exist. On the second try, pzizz froze. On the third, I was able to generate a nap, but I didn't realise that the software defaults to the original settings unless you specifically save your own settings, so I ended up with a file I didn't want. On the fourth try, I discovered that it uses the same default filenames in each new session, so my previous file was overwritten without warning; fine in this case, but potentially problematic. By the time I got the nap file onto my iPod, I was too annoyed to heed all those calls to relax. Overall, I'd say the software needs more work to be worth the price. (Version 1.7)

Sorry you've been having problems... From what you say, I think the problem is as follows: When you export, and specify a folder, do not choose the iTunes music folder since iTunes manages the contents. When iTunes tries to copy the file into this folder, it then removes the old one, so it copies the file to itself and then deletes it. Just export to some other folder. You can then drag the file to iTunes if needs - be or just export to a play list. You can name a new one during the export process. There is a full set of instructions available on this page - I'm sorry if we didn't make it clear. http://www.pzizz.com/software_download.asp If you have any problems, please contact me directly - edward @ pzizz.com CEO Brainwave Enterprises (Version 1.7)

LIFESTYLE COACH Pzizz is a Quantum Leap. I've tried standard relaxation CD's and found them disappointing. After a while, my mind KNEW what was coming next and I found myself "tuning out". I never seemed to be able to reach the "deep meditative level" I What I love about Pzizz is that each session is unique. There are literally BILLIONS of sessions it can generate so every time I use it, it's a completely different experience. A 20 min "session" with Pzizz and it feels like I've slept for hours. It's uncanny. Pzizz incorporates a Biurnal Beat - low tones technically not heard, but perceived as an auditory beat. These are important for achieving lower levels of brain waves - Theta & Delta, typically associated with greater creativity, deep meditation, etc. It's difficult to describe the experience but what an experience it is! I've never felt so relaxed... and the feeling lasts. If you decide against Pzizz and go the CD route instead, I'd consider looking into the ones that incorporate Biurnals. There are some good reviews of Pzizz on their site: http://www.pzizz.com/reviews.asp http://www.pzizz.com/sports.asp Pzizz incorporates the voice of Michael Breen, a Master NLP trainer who is well known in Neuro Linguistic Programming circles for his work with Richard Bandler and Paul McKenna in the UK. At $39, Pzizz is a bargain. If you're hestiating, trust me: once you experience it (with headphones), you'll KNOW you've made the right decision. Run, do not walk, to pzizz.com and get it. You'll be glad you did! (Version 1.6)

ANGELO Nice try, but the sound is too unspiritual. For me pzizz sounds like recorded in a workshop and that makes me nervous. Our mind and our body is part of an organical environment so why shoul mechanical sounds be better than organical? brainwave ltd. was supported by a NLP Master trainer but what does that mean? Nothing, because the human brain still is a mystery to science and every tool which has influence on your brain is nothing but a well-meant crook. Don't trust others, try to discover your own ability to "manipulate" your brain. (Version 1.6)

ANONYMOUS The first piece of music is the same every time. this is so the subconscious recognises it and can enter a relaxed state more quickly. there are variations on the voice file throughout the program and the music after the first piece. as for the modules. this is a new company and they have just released the sleep module. they are palnning more but they take quite a long time to create due to the algorithm and the unique file system!

ANONYMOUS Not wanting to sound over the top, but I reckon this is the closest software has ever come to being life-changing! A 20 or 30 min Energiser nap in the afternoon seems to do amazing things for me. Been feeling tired all day, and now at 3pm after a 20 min session, I feel better than ever and able to be way more productive for the rest of the day. More impressed with the Energise module than the Sleep module - although that's probably because I don't have a problem falling asleep at night and listening to anything at all is likely to keep me awake more than send me to sleep (especially with the voice option turned on). Without Pzizz though, I would never be able to have a useful nap in the middle of the day. It does seem expensive as a piece of shareware, but given the results, I can't say I resent the outlay. Not so sure about the alarm clock style beeps at the end of the Energiser - always comes as a bit of a shock - but then I suppose this is to ensure your nap doesn't over-run. And would be nice if the export to iTunes function could get the export directly into iTunes rather than into a folder and then needing to be manually dropped into iTunes - but that's hardly too much of a problem. Looking forward to the development of other modules. (Version 1.5)

DAVE I'm not into "new age" stuff at all but as a programmer, I was curious about this so I downloaded the demo and was pretty amazed by it. The first time I ran it it, I started following along with all the 'suggestions' and then the next thing I realized was that I was waking up 30 minutes later...it was almost scary. I repeated my experiment again quite a few times times included twice on a flight and I have yet to stay awake for the entire program..or, if I am awake, I'm in some sort of time-shifting trance. (Don't ask how I was able to bypass the limit on the demo..I'm probably going to buy it so I won't feel so guilty and also so I can use it with my iPod). Overall it's very novel. I'm anxious for them to release a "sleep" program. I'm considering hacking some of the MP3 files inside the program to 1. silence the "alarm" at the end of the program and 2. replace the 'suggestion' to wake up with a quiet mp3 file. I'm giving it a 2 for "features" because it needs 1 or 2 more programs like "sleep" and "make my wife frisky". I'm giving it a 4 in "ease of use" because it seems pretty easy. The preferences and creating presets could be handled a little better but it's pretty simple. I'm giving it a 3 for "value" because it just seems a bit high, but I guess the value of the US dollar is pretty weak in the UK these days. I think it should be priced around $24. I would have bought it by now. 5 for stability because it hasn't crashed yet. It seems solid. (Version 1.0)

ANONYMOUS I must offer a mea culpa. I poked fun at pzizz earlier for being expensive and a huge download (in the reply to someone else). I was out of line. After actually downloading it (here is a link that works: Get it here) I find it to be rather interesting. It is not simply a white noise machine. Rather, it offers a wide range of sound options, including a soothing human voice (with a touch of a Brit accent) and seems more like a tool for going into a trance or hypnotic state. The huge download size is obviously due to the large number of audio clips that come with it. 30.7 MB consist of music and 23.6 MB is voice. All in MP3 format. You can use it for 60 minutes in the demo and have access to one basic type of "nap". I gave it a listen and nearly dropped face first onto my keyboard in deep slumber (OK, a bit of exageration but it did sound very effective to me). I gave it a 3 for value simply because I am poor (and not a student nor a young person) and that is out of my "luxury purchase" range. (Version 1.0)
