CSR  MacBook os x: This application is a waste of time. Didn't work at all, and disabled my wireless mouse. POS.

MONOCLAST  You are mistaken. This software can't disable your mouse. It's nothing more than a preference pane and a startup item.

CLYDE8888   StartupSound stopped working after installing Leopard, and none of the versions would work. Thanks to lee 123 previous post, I gave a try to PSST application and it worked right off the bat.

GREGMC  Check out the link to the developers site before trying this. There's a warning that says your Mac might only start up in safe mode after installing, and a warning to back up all your important files ... Hmmm, think I'll pass on this one.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  The developer's website states:

"If your computer doesn't start up normally after installing this software, please start up Mac OS X in Safe Mode and uninstall this software."

It does not state that your computer may only startup in Safe Mode.

JARUCK NETSATHIT  This mini untility is great idea, but once when i open system preferences and click your "startup sound" to adjust volume and I will switch to that panel in main System Preferences, I cannot switch to another one and found that "startup volume has not been set up. An error occurred during PRAM access. After resetting PRAM on some models, the message will be displayed once you startup mac os9 on this computer, the problem may be solved. When click "OK" it will come back to main system preferences. Fix that, man.

A BRAUNSDORF  Works as advertised, but once I switch to that panel in System Preferences, I cannot switch to another one. Fix that, and I'd say it's done.

ANONYMOUS  sure would be nice if when you click the package to install it would allow you to read what is there before clciking continue or cancel. Fix this and I will give it a try. I am sure there is nothing there to be concerned with but you included it for a reason so please fix it so we can read it. it only displays for 2 seconds.

RUSSELL GLEASON  Works great! I'm using a G4 (4th generation/Digital Audio 533MHz G4 Mac) with OS 10.3.5 and I haven't experinced any problems. The only suggestion I could make to the developer is that "several" volume settings need to be placed in between the lowest setting and mute. (For this reason I gave it 4 stars for features) Other than that it works just fine. - Russell
