LEMMING Thanks for the Leopard-compatible update. By far the best keystroke logger. It's unobtrusive and doesn't suck up CPU cycles like all the other keystroke logger. (Version 2.2)

BSDGUYSHAWN This is awesome. It would be even better if, along with parsing our the special characters like delete, etc..., it would log the window that had keyboard focus. Safari takes focus, some one types, then adum takes focus, someone types, etc... This tool would be even more useful with these features, or at least I think it would. (Version 2.1)

JDAWGGG It's saying that the logfile does not currently exist and that I need to type in 100 characters. I'm sure that I've typed 100 characters yet am still unable to open the logfile. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks. (Version 2.1)

DELIGHT1 WILLIAM ZAPPA: this is always running, even with out terminal open, unless you turn it off from inside the client (something like "set Loging="off, use list from inside the client to see the vars) (Version 2.1)

WILLIAM ZAPPA I think the first 'password' is what your own computer has when you log in THEN it asks for the 'default' logKext password (which you can change once it's installed. (Version 2.1)

DELIGHT1 AMERICANBEAUTY415: the command "sudo logkextclient" first needs to be authorized because of the "sudo", then you get to log kext's passord (default "logKext") (Version 2.1)

ANONYMOUS This would be a great app if it had the following improvements 1) If it parsed the log and deleted the characters instead of leaving them in with the notation. 2) Noted when the active application changed and a notation of the time (Year/Month/Day Hour:Minute) of the change. ANONYMOUS Password doesn't show up in terminal. :) Just like sudo. Don't worry -- you're still typing! Regarding numeric keypad -- SORRY! I only have a powerbook! :P In the next release of logKext I am planning on replacing the static key mapping with an XML file or something on the filesystem that does the mapping. This will also make the french (et al) people happy who have funny keyboards :) When I get around to it... (Version 1.2)

Cannot log in at ALL to logkext. When I am asked for the password, I am not able to type at ALL. I tried reinstalling, and the same thing happened. On TOP of it, I cannot uninstall it! Does anyone know how to fix this? I also tried looking directly AT the log file (as you used to do in Logkext 1.1, and when I opened the log, THAT was all gibberish. Thanks for your help. TOMIS What's the practical purpose of this? If you actually have sensitive data that you want to keep secure, you should be encrypting it anyway. If you leave your computer open to use by people you don't trust, then why don't you set your computer to log out after a certain time period, and moreover, why are you even hanging around with these people? Is there any legitimate use for a keylogger? I can't imagine one. (Version 1.2)

JOELWHY Does anyone care to explain how this works to someone who is not exactly tech-savy? I installed the program, then (for the first time ever) opened up the Terminal program. I punched in: /usr/local/bin/logKextClient Decrypt file.txt then I type in the default password, and the terminal says: And then...I have no idea what to do. Do I have to run the program first or something? Again, I really have no idea what I'm doing, but I'd like to have a keystroke recorder on my Mac. Anyone??? (Version 1.1)

FENTON I also can't get it working - all gibberish and what's more the uninstaller doesn't work. Can't find the control that's supposed to switch it off. Great - eventually the computer will have nothing but on it but a huge gibberish file. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? Is it possible to just to trash it? (Version 1.1)

ANONYMOUS Installed it type some stuff, tried to open the log file (com.fsb.logKext) all I got was jibberish. Tried using Terminal and used the Decrypt option and typed the path to com.fsb.logKext it asked for a password, I typed the password then, nothing. I assumed it worked, tried opening the com.fsb.logKext file into Text edit, still all jibberish? Those who have got this working can you please tell me how? (Version 1.1)

ANONYMOUS Been looking for a decent keystroke logger for 10.3 for awhile now. Seems a no-brainer to use Kernel Extensions, glad to see someone's finally done it. Also like the price! Suggested improvements: ability to rename both the files and the name of the Daemon process to something less obvious. And an uninstaller. ;-) Will keep an eye on this, it looks good!
