AMAGINE This is a great start for GPS file conversion on the Mac. Great work thank you! Probably the most usefull file format for use beyond the "Mickey Mouse" GPS applications for Mac is the 'deliminated (comma)' format for input into text, spreadsheets, database, and GIS (Canvas 9, GRASS, Pythagoras). To make this app an absolute killer would be: 1. GPS Sample - Produce a sample output from GPS that reads out all information that the GPS is able to output. ie. UTM zone, UTM co-ordinates, Projection, Long/Lat, time/date, Satellite info, waypoint codes, comments, etc. Perhaps depending on the GPS this is hard? 2. From Sample choose the fields and order in which those fields can be output into 'deliminated' format. This would be huge! It would become the killer app for Rec GPS input into GIS. |
