ANONYMOUS  This is a "generic" Java application. There's a Java (.jar) installer and a PC (.exe) file in the download. Installing it (via the .jar file on a Mac) does not result in a Mac-like application or icon; it requires a command line start via Java. Discovering that, I wasn't interested any more and trashed all. It doesn't have to be this way, either. CrushFTP, to name just one example, is in Java, but it behaves like a normal application on both a Mac (OS 9) or a PC.

IAN WEIR  There is a much easier way to get and use this program, which is actually suggested by the readme file. Simple go to http://www.kiyut.com/products/sketsa/index.html and click the Launch Web Start button.

It will handle the download and install for you, and from then on you can open it just by opening the application it creates, no need to do anything whatsoever with the command line.

S. C. STONE  That, to me, still sounds pretty absurd. It's a cheap attempt, for a company who's software is obviously made for Windows, to sell in the Mac market.
