ROBERTCOOGAN  I didn't need anything like this until a few weeks ago...now it's indispensable. GUI needs some cleaning up however - it's a bit like staring at a stereo with too many buttons - but on the whole very useful.

JH FROM NY  This is an incredible app for pro Sound Designers.

Not only manages complex sound effects libraries, but also reads simple sample CD's, and converts to a large variety of sound formats like .wav, aif, sd2, etc., and it does it cleaner and quicker than any conversion app out there.

Searching and catloguing is fast and easy - works just like a web-browser. Too many results? Refine it.

LibraryMonkey ($400) blows away Barbabatch ($400), Audiofinder ($50), and SoundConverter ($15) and they are only converters and not library managers.

Closest competitor would be SoundMiner ($400) but a lot more intuitive and doesn't require a dongle.

For the money-shy, they also have a nice converter called SoundGrinder ($40) and they sent just me an email about new additions and formats for SoundGrinder so their customer service and updates seem quite attentive.

The only con is that the price is a bit steep but considering if you're using this app in tandem with ProTools, it's less than a single PT plug-in.

Pros? Rock solid, intuitive, clean conversions from 8-32 bits/8k-192k, and really fast!

Really nice stuff!
