SHIELDJAGUAR2002  Eagle is a powerful schematic design/PCB layout program. It comes complete with an expandable library of parts and is available in Freeware form although some restrictions apply.

This version does NOT need X11 to run, contrary to the developers notes.

GERD ROESSER  Now after working a while with it: Rocksolid, easy to use (I already knew the PC version), fantastic features for the money. Even the free light version is fully useable for little projects!

GERD ROESSER  Finally!!!! d:-)))

The first PCB layout app for Mac OS X which is really useable. Just transfered a project from EAGLE 4.11 on VPC. As far as I can see, everything works fine. Now I can kill VPC on my Mac. Thanks to the people at CadSoft!

PS: On there ftp site they have an English version, too. But the German version works for me, too... d;-)))

RICHARD  Wow, that was fast. I emailed Cadsoft about this problem and they answered within 5 minutes with the fix. They say just "delete the files bin/*.qm and restart EAGLE". I did, and now it's all English.

RICHARD  I think someone at CadSoft screwed up here. This is the German language version. I went to their website and d/l both the English and German versions and both are in German. So give me an English version and I'll take it for a spin.
