STEPHANE PROVENCAL  Bonjour !

My name is Stephane Provencal.

My user name is stephane.provencal@sympatico.ca and the name that i used when i'm playing GL Golf is Stephane.

I love playing GL Golf. The GL Golf 2.20 version is very fantastic and realistic.

I want to take advantage of the GL Golf Lite (Free) offer, but i don't own an iPhone/iPod and i am a Subscription pack owner of GL Golf.

Please, yours faithfully !

Stephane Provencal

DANWAY  Too much money for a game that has mediocre graphics and terrible music. Reminds me of my first Nintendo back in the 1980's. Nice effort.

JAZZPOTATO  I have been playing GL Golf for about 6 months, and it's still a fun and challenging game. I have an Intel Macbook, and can't run Tiger Woods without an expensive new Video Card, and I'm grateful for this excellent alternative. Thanx Jake!

CHIEFMAC  This Golf game is very realistic and enjoyable. You actuallly are able to make "aces" and Eagles. The developer keeps up with the game and continues to update adding courses that are challenging. Developer, Jake, listens to feedback. They care!

NEILGBARCLAY  I don't see how the real game of golf could be better simulated

The software inventor is still working out a few bugs, but they are minor.

The best thing to do is start with the 15-course option and then build from there.

There are easy courses, and hard. There are famous, and those you've never heard of. One or two of them have greens that are virtually impossible, but I guess they truly exist. As for me, if I find myself in Morocco someday, I'll stay inside and have a beer or sixteen.

NUCLEAR NOVA SOFTWARE  Ray, I just fixed and uploaded a new version. I had a hard time (took 3 different computers) recreating the bug but I finally found it and took care of it. Thanks

RAY16  Game play is ok, but crashes when the the High Scores window is opened, which also has no names.

Will try Norton's Disk Doctor, maybe that will fix it, maybe.

NUCLEAR NOVA SOFTWARE  I'm pretty sure this was by trying to set the default resolution to 0 by 0 pixels for new users and users that have never changed their resolution before - I let the bug slip by me somehow but its now fixed, sorry for wasting your time with the bugged version!

ANONYMOUS  Stop the phoning home bullshit. ITS A GOLF GAME!! What is a GOLF GAME going to send away thats important. It cant send anything important away!

JOHN  A golf game can send anything any other application can send. How about the e-mail, mailing addresses and phone numbers from everyone in your address book. Nothing like verified lists that you can sell to spammers and identity theives.

Or how about sending your safari browsing history? Maybe some of your e-mail?

Pretty much *anything* in your user directory is vulnerable to being sent out when an app phone's home.

It is a real threat. Nobody should take phoning home lightly.

MACMAN  John is correct -- the phoning home question was legitimate. Any time an author elects to implement that capability (especially if it is automatically enabled), it should be explained in accompanying documentation. Benign or malicious, it's still taking liberties with a user's privacy if they're not informed *beforehand* and agree to this occurring.

While the function in this game is most certainly benign, the question asked is always a legitimate one. The right to privacy is still just that -- a right; and users deserve to know why if such functions are enabled.

SYLVIA ROGERS  Thanks for a great game. However, I would prefer to compete against myself and keep track of my own progress instead of posting to the web.

JAKE LEVETO  Sylvia - the game keeps track of both highscores made on your computer and highscores on the internet now.

BUBASLUBAS  This is a superb golf game - everything works nicely, game is fluid and graphics are OK. I just wish it would be possible to improve the overall environment of the game (ie ambient sounds like birds, and some more vegetation surroundings). The music is excellent (too bad there's only 2 songs), and the courses' design is, in general, very good. A great game to get your mind off things for a couple of minutes once in a while.

ANONYMOUS  Just to let you know, I've just tried version 1.41 on my 12inch G4 Powerbook w/OSX 10.3.6, and I seem to be experiencing the multiple score pop-up windows, despite the fact that it is meant to be fixed.

ANONYMOUS  This would be a very good game if the ball stopped sooner and if the sky was an actual sky. When I went into full screen mode, the screen was blank.

KEVIN  Great, but needs more, and better, holes

Occasional freezing when the ball is just between the water and land, and it just twitches back and forth

Also, it should remember your music preference, and not always turn it on

Q  I was looking for a simple golf game and while this was a good start, it needs some work. Golf balls bounce inconsistently and the 'physics' of the trees need some serious work. And the club swing mechanism could also be improved.
