ARCHIETHEARCHIVER  I downloaded this app and, although it says it is version 4.2, the app is actually version 4.1.

KEVIN OLSON  I enjoy this app because it does just what it says, very easily. I can hear the chord, see it diagrammed on the keyboard, assemble it into a progression, then export that out as a midi file. It works very well, and the developer is very responsive. Great learning tool, fun to just play around with, too.

ATA  When a developer listens to the feature requests of its users, then that's a developer worth supporting. Thank you so much for the MIDI export of chords. You have made my day!

ED.PERRY  I have used SimpleChord for a year now and find it to be really valuable as a sketch tool to rough out ideas to be fully developed later in Logic Pro. First, it's rock solid; it's never crashed on me. With low machine overhead, it runs on my fairly old portable, so i can work anywhere. The user interface is simple letting me get a lot of work done quickly on developing chord progressions. I can play with some ideas, get a good idea of what I want, then go to Logic Pro to flesh out the songs.

RONWALK  What a wonderful little program; elegant, useful. It's meant to do just what it's meant to do. In addition to it's technical workings, it's also beautifully designed. It's obvious that somebody's paying attention with a high level of consciousness. I'm really pleased.

KGPAT  I like the software and found myself using it, so I purchased a registration on March 10th. I waited and waited for the code to be sent, then I figured it's the weekend so I'll give it a couple of days. Now it's March 15 and I still don't have my code. I have emailed the developer twice with no response. Maybe thru MacUpdate I can get a response.

NUTTDAN  Hi Kevin,

I recieved your registration, and several times I tried to email it to you, and it bounced, so I had no way of contacting you. You wrote in from another address, so I sent off an appology and a registration there, thinking all was well. Evidently it wasn't recieved -- some block or filter somewhere. So now I'm emailing you from every address I can find.

Please contact me by some means if you still haven't gotten it. If there's an AIM screenname or phone number I can contact you at, that works too.

By god, there's *gotta* be some way to get this guy his serial :-).

CRAPPYREALBASICMADESOFTWARE  I'll stick with a more professional tool from a more main stream company as opposed to a little shareware product that may or may not be there tomorrow.

ANONYMOUS  This is a really good learning tool. Progressions are a great addition. But v.3 no longer recognises input from my midi keyboard

DAN GROVER  Make sure that the option to accept such input is enabled in the preferences -- because I redid the preferences in 3.0 it may not remember your old preferences from version 2. Let me know if you still have any problems.

ANONYMOUS  I trashed the prefs. It works now but I found in order to enable/disable midi input I had to turn it on/off in the prefs then restart the application.

DAN GROVER  It's been a year since SimpleChord 2 was released. Since then, you've provided lots of suggestions. I've listened to all of them and implemented three of the most requested features in version 3.0: chord progressions, inversions, and a reverse lookup. It's even better now -- and hopefully will continute to get so.

Thanks to all of you who have supported the development of this app!

JOSHUA  This looks nice. If it could display a guitar fret board as well that would be even better (Or show the chord formation at least)

SPAMGUY  SimpleChord is an excellent program and toy. Unfortunately, I don't find it very useful for my composition. SC needs the ability to perform chord inversions. You don't want my tunes to be all I chords, do you? :) This feature alone would sell me. The feature to play programmable chord progressions would make me pay ANY price!

JOHN DAVIS  I recently downloaded the 2.1.1 version of Simple Chord and let me just say that I love it. I was very happy to find such software on the net. I studied keyboarding in college but only got so far. I find it boring and cumbersome to look up each chord in books. Simple Chord makes it easy because all the chords are at your finger tips. Its really cool and helpful. I have my keyboard hooked up to my Imac and pipe it through GarageBand. All I have to do is look at the lited keyboard in Simple Chord then practice the same fingering positions on my key board. Good Stuff. Thank you Wonder Warp for aiding in my continuing education. Sincerely John Davis, SD

DAN GROVER  If you've used SimpleChord in the past, and didn't care much for it, you should really take a look at the latest version, SimpleChord 2. More useful, stable, and fun.

It works with MIDI keyboards, you can keep favorites, even compile a chord database onto your iPod!
