I'm hoping I can find version 1.1 to go back to! Le daemon n'a pu se lancer. Dans le menu 'Daemon', essayez l'option 'R?initialiser le daemon' puis lancez le ? nouveau. ANONYMOUS There remain some bugs in version 2.5-30. The management of the files sharing changed and is not yet supported in xDonkey. It is for these reasons that I continue with the branch 2.5-16 which continues to evolve nevertheless.

Maybe I`am stuppid or something like that, but here: http://xdonkey.macdk.net/xDonkeyHelpEN/pgs/xd4.html I only could find information about the file size and other thing and nothing about "How could I tell xdonkey which folder it has to share"... Please Help.. Otherwise xdonkey is a good Program!! A litle buggy, but not useless... Thanx for information... (Version 1.0)

ANONYMOUS It's the 'How can I share files by posting their e2dk links ?' link. The 'incoming' folder is the folder where the daemon stores your finished downloadings. It is accessible by the xDonkey menu. (Version 1.0)

ANONYMOUS I do not want to sound negative among all those praises, but on my ibook the application unexpectedly quits after 30-40 minutes or the window stays completely blank when it has been hidden and must come back to the front. I won't give a negative note because I appreciate the effort but wished to notify the developpers about the issue. (Version 1.0)

ANONYMOUS Looks nice, and with more options than mlMac, but it really sucks up CPU. On my dual 1.8G5 it takes about 90% CPU time, and it responds hardly. It can take minutes before anything happens when I click on a tab, but more often I just have to stare at the beachball :/ (Version 0.7)

MR.ASH The new version 0.6 has a lot of bugs. The contextual menu often turns to gray and nothing works till the app crashes completly. I think it's very user unfriendly (not to say stupid) that the % and the chunks bar now are one unit. Please split them again! The former version 0.5 was a lot better than this one, so i'm switching back. (Version 0.6)

ANONYMOUS While I was liking the previous version, this new one (0.6) is *buggy*. All contextual menu choices greyed out in the Transfers pane? the "Servers" tab sometimes gets "stuck" and won't allow itself to be selected anymore? Sort by "Sources" no longer works properly, and sort by "Speed" is broken. Oops, and it just spontaneously quit on me while I was typing this. And the new combining of "%" and "Chunks" is an eyesore and less functional. I'm regretting I tosssed my old copy of the previous version. Aside from that, Xdonkey shows a lot of promise (Version 0.6)

BEZIERBOY Yet another promising file-sharing app with a spiffy interface, well-supported and designed download protocol, and large set of files available online that WON'T download ANYTHING on my Panther 10.3.2 TiBook G4/550 with a cable internet hookup. Lots of results, no downloads via Donkey protocol EVER. Will download FastTrack files excruciatingly slowly. This is with my OS X firewall turned completely off OR with it open for just filesharing ports. Whatever I'm doing wrong must be pretty obscure as I'm a very experienced OS X user who knows a good bit about networking. I really doubt my ISP is blocking ports needed for this, they don't block any other filesharing ports. Tried the support forums on the developer website but they're just general Donkey protocol or mlDonkey stuff, nothing about xDonkey. I'd email the author but I can't write in French. EDUO You may want to try adding port forwarding to your router/modem, should you have one. This trivial bit of information usually slips even the most experienced ones and is now the first thing I check. Donkey is not a client, but a server, and as such needs port forwarding enabled for it to work. Since I run a webserver as well I just go ahead and assign the whole range (1 to 65533) to my internal LAN IP. You may want to try that. (Version 0.6)

ANONYMOUS I keep getting messages in my console of the type: | ERROR : The UserHash sent on your 4662 port doesnt match the LOGIN one (UserHash stealer ?) Others simply tell me that I should change my port to other than 4662. I do so in my router but don't seem to be able to do the same in my xdonkey option/plugin/edonkey. Plus I can't red the help files 'cause they are in French. What do I do? I have two ports open 4662 and 4001, should I open more? What difference does it make whether the port setting is on tcp or udp? Both my ports are on tcp. Thanks and sorry for being so ignorant. (Version 0.6)

JFREYBA This is not exactly a GUI... It's got the core on it, like mlmac, and this point should be announced. I mean, if you are currently running mldonkey with another GUI, you must change nearly all xdonkey presets, and even doing it it's difficult to keep your current downloads running. This app runs by itself, and it changed my current mldonkey parameters. Fortunately, I deleted the app and my presets came back... Uffffffff! I've got my downloads running again. (Version 0.52)

MU ADMIN This review was posted immediately after this app was first posted, today, to the MacUpdate.com database. Only a very few seconds passed between the time that the app was posted and this review appeared. There is not a chance that anyone could have used the app and formed an opinion in that amount of time. For this reason, we suspect it is not a legitimate review, but rather is a review from the developer or a friend of the developer. (Version 0.52)
