ANONYMOUS  This is a great product. Very intuitive, much needed. The scripts available with the Salling clicker just don't cut it. This is a great extension for next to no cash. I recommend it highly.

PETR MARA  I use this piece of software for few weeks and I really enjoy that with my P900. It could not be easier to control VLC from mobile phone.

BUSINESS IS GOOD  Why do you think you are entitled to things for Free? People just create things to give you and get nothing in return? I have yet to meet anyone who could live on air... oh, and by the way, an application is free, but the controller is not part of the application... you really must be cheap and I suspect you steal your meals from your local grocery and your computer is probably one you use at the local Library..

GREENIE  Business is good would you happen to be the developer? As you burn anyone that questions the fee?

DJDARLEK  Mr Business is Good... i think the person was referring to the fact that you are making money from a program which is about 3,000millionbillion times more complicated that this glorified applescript. They have the decency to put in their many many hours of programming time to help better the Mac community without charging, so why should you charge for this? If it let me watch films on my mobile Via VLC then FAIR ENOUGH, but somehow i doubt that will happen ;)

ANONYMOUS  That and the newest version of Salling Clicker (2.2) now includes a VLC controller script.

So what's the reason to buy?

SNARB.TK  greenie/djdarlek: you are barking up the wrong tree here... I (the developer) am not "Business is good" - altough I must say I appreciate his/her sense of reason

if you would have bothered doing some quick research, you would have found the answer to your question right at the VLC project homepage:

"The VideoLAN team is made up of students of the École Centrale Paris"

I am not one of these students. And trust me, I'm not getting fat doing this...

Anonymous: please compare the scripts, I'm sure you'll notice a few differences

JOSEPH HUMFREY  Excellent! I don't even have to leave my bed :-) I don't need to have VLC or a video file open or anything - just sit down and do everything on my phone, including choosing the file itself (you can set shortcut folders, or even browse through your whole file hierarchy from your phone), setting full screen mode, and all the play controls you could ever want. It may seem complicated at first, but it is easily the best I have got out of bluetooth yet.

JOSEPH HUMFREY  Because it's $5, the controller is excellent, and if you use it regularly, you'd have to be really tight not to pay.

BUSINESS IS GOOD  Bone up on your grammar cheapskate.

Don't be a dolt. That goes for the other idiotic posters. Maybe you should get a job and learn the difference between one product and another. The controller is not part of the product and I think $5 is as nominal a fee as anyone could require....if you don't have something to contribute how about just reading to yourself!
