JOHNNY ROCKET from the developers website: A note for sites such as MacUpdate, VersionTracker, Tucows, etc: Please do not update your listings to this version yet. It is not ready for the general public. The download has no instructions or installer. This page is meant for beta testers, only. They know what they are getting into, but the visitors to your sites will not. (Version 0.4.7b)

COPILOTO I think that his comment makes sense because it is informative. It took me a long time (and several installs-reinstalls later) to figure out why Safari 3's address bar and search bar were not working. It was because of Sogudi (which, incidentally, is a wonderful plug-in). (Version 0.4.6)

SCHMELDING From the developer's site: "Sogudi is not compatible with Safari 3 Beta. At this time there are no plans to modify Sogudi to work with Safari 3 while it still remains in beta release." My response: Grrr. (Version 0.4.6)

SCHMELDING My response above is now changed to: Use SafariStand. It does the same thing and much more AND supports Safari 3: http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/16687 (Version 0.4.6)

ERRORR Thank you for the Intel version. I missed the "Default search" feature of Sogudi when I had to temporarily switch to SafariSIA for its Intel campatibility. It (SafariSIA) drives me crazy when it tries to load my search queries as domains because I forgot to add a "g" in front for google search. (Version 0.4.6)

ANONYMOUS What I liked about earlier versions of Sogudi was that it allowed you to search various sites through the Google search bar. I have no use for the so-called "shortcuts", which really don't save you work at all. (Version 0.4.6)

APOC_METAL This app is great, though I don't ask it to do much... I use it mostly for integration with macupdate, as I've been too busy/lazy to remember other shortcuts, but I love it still... great little app! (Version 0.4.5)

ANONYMOUS Version 0.4.5 replaces the "Google" in Safari's Google search box with "Sogudi." I like Sogudi's functionality a lot, but altering Safari's appearance is obnoxious, even though I'm not enamored of the "Google" text. Please fix this. (Version 0.4.5)

ANONYMOUS I still had the previous version of Sogudi (0.4.4) around so I reinstalled it; that one doesn't change the default Google text in the search box, but it also lacks the new "single space does default search" feature. I'll live with it. (Version 0.4.5)

OINK I have experienced this from time to time... for example: I would type "g abcde" on the address bar and instead of searching abcde at google (my setting), It may try to load http://www.g%20abcde.com. It may be safari loading the url too quickly. Nothing an extra command-l can't solve! (Version 0.4.4)

NICKV2002 Yeah, it's awesome. Unfortunately if Apple wanted this, they would just build it in themselves and not pay for it. Fortunately, it's little too advanced for them to want to include for the everyday user (Apple is very KISS oriented with their core software). LightSwitch wasn't so lucky... (Version 0.43b)

CHAS. SCHOENFELD For those who've been having trouble getting this to work with the latest (v. 1.2) release of Safari, try simply re-running the installer. That solved the problem for me. BRIAN This is a great piece of software; I love how tightly it integrates with Safari. Very classy, and kudos to the developer for thinking of it. The one thing that's making it less than useful for me is the fact that you MUST provide a search query for the shortcut to activate; that is, if I create a shortcut "uf" that goes to "http://www.userfriendly.org/", it won't activate unless I type some other word after "uf" in the address bar. I realize there's probably some other way to do straight shortcuts like this, but I'd like to use Sogudi to consolidate all of them in one place. (Version 0.43b)

KITZKIKZ Additional search terms are not required by Sogudi. If you wish to use a shortcut without following it with additional words, just type type the shortcut followed by a space. Example: type "uf" to have Sogudi activate and expand to "http://www.userfriendly.org/". (Version 0.43b)

ANONYMOUS Definitely one of Mac OS X' most valuable 3rd party add-ins (likethe PDF Browser PlugIn by M. Schubert) ... I'll love it (b'cause it even allows me defining "quick links" like, e.g., 'amt' for the Apple Movie Trailer Website (just by typing 'amt ' -- notice the additional blank at the end of input) -- the one ond only pitfall: searching for concatenated strings like 'just-mac' (including an '-') is a little intricately; avoid problems with Safari's auto-completion by typing ' just-mac' (additional leading blank!). But even though -- ***** from me (and just in case of: SafariKeywords focusses the same issue; but doesn't work on my JagOSX ;) (Version 0.43b)

ALBRIGHT YES. So awesome. Ever since I switched to Safari from iCab, I've missed iCab's capability of letting me define and use other search services besides Google; whenever I wanted to search Amazon or DMOZ or what have you, I just opened the Find box, picked a search engine or two, typed in a phrase and hit Return. Sogudi is a bit harder to use than iCab's doodad, but it works just as well! Thank you for this awesome chunk of code. (Version 0.4b)
