MACMEDIA TEAM It is a strange problem. It seems that the PhoneAgent preferences file may be corrupted. Please delete this file: Users / "Your user name" / Library / Preferences / PhoneAgentPrefs (Then select the port in the PhoneAgent preferences again.) (Version 1.4.4)
| Jun 18 2008 |
ZZAMBONI Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, I don't have a preferences file! The program didn't make it that far. The error appears while the splash screen is still displayed, before it asks me for the port to use. Any other ideas? I really would like to give this a try. (Version 1.4.4)

ZZAMBONI This looks interesting - unfortunately when I run the program, shortly after the splash screen appears, I get a dialog that says "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down." Any ideas about what could be wrong? Thank you. (Version 1.4.4)

FARIBORZ Once again I would like to thank the author of this fabulous program for his priceless support. I had some issues with my registration procedure of version 1.4.4 and in no time I received an appropriate answer to all my questions. This application is exceptionally powerful and very well written but the support that the users receive from its programmer makes it even hundred times better. This is how the Mac developers should treat their customers. Thanks for being so wonderful. I really appreciate it. Fariborz AMIRSHAHI - Verona (Italy) (Version 1.4.4)

ECDLTF. this morning as I tried to update to vs143 my serial was refused by the online registration process (license fromm dec 06). I mailed my prob to macmedia and received the answer and solution within 3 hours! This is what I call SUPPORT on a saturaday morning (CET) The program, btw, is superb! (Version 1.4.3)

ROTTWEILER The developer should inform the registered users that this upgrade cost $12.95 I for one would not have changed my software if I'd known this. Now I can't get hold of the previous version, which worked fine for me! Bugger, bugger, bugger! (Version 1.3)

PROFINITE I have been using PhoneAgent for a few years. Support from the author, Peter, has been absolutely phenominal. I teach at a university, and sometimes I want to mass-SMS to my students. I have their cell #'s in Excel which is exported to a tab-delimited text file. PhoneAgent easily imports the text file with cell #'s, which enables me to send the same messages to multiple receipients. Furthermore, you can now send different messages to different #'s as well. I use this new feature to SMS my students' exam scores. They love the quick feedback better than email. For anyone looking for a cell phone program, I wholeheartedly recommend PhoneAgent. ANONYMOUS to synch w/ address book, iSync works for me. To send txt messages, BluePhoneMenu does the job (and more). To create themes, the editor from Sony Ericsson works great. So, in short, not worth the $$ for the few other features that this app offers in my own personal opinion. (Version 1.2.4)

MACONLYSOURCE PhoneAgent is an excellent app to get your Sony Ericsson T610, T616, T630, T637, Z600, K700i, K750i mobile phones synced and customized via OSX. It is very simple to use and yet provideds a multitude of options to get these phones organized and customized. Address book, themes, files, etc. It works as advertised. Good work! ALFONSO SY I just purchased Phone Agent v. 1.2.3 to back-up my phonebook and for sending out multiple SMS. I was able to successfully back-up my phonebook (462 entries, 567 numbers total) with Phone Agent. After making some minor editing on the entries, I saved and attempted to upload the phonebook entries back into my phone. Didn't work. Got the error message saying that a maximum of 510 numbers can only be uploaded into my K750i from Phone Agent. (incorrect since I know you can have about 500 entries each with 4 numbers). Anybody else here experienced the same problem? (Version 1.2.3)

WEFUNKSTER Just registered it for use with my SE K750i. I love it. It really is the swiss army knife of mobile phone tools. Since iSync (even hacked) doesn´t work properly with the K750i yet, PA nicely fills the gap. Still I would love to see a possibility to access/sync the calendar from within PA. The themes creator of PA doesn´t work with the K750i yet, but I don´t care cause I can use the free SE Themes Creator. Great software, price seems steep but is worth it if you want / have to have full control over your mobile phone. (Version 1.2.3)

KUNIO MITSUMA This product is supported by a dedicated & responsible developer, Peter Koren. His response to feature requests and bug reports is outstanding. I recommend PhoneAgent to others without reservation, not only because the product is well-written, but also the high level of support that the developer provides. (Version 1.2.2)

FARIBORZ AMIRSHAHI I would like to publicly thank the author of this marvellous program for the support I received from him. His answer was quick or may I better say - "immediate" and he solved my problem in the best possible way. I've been using PhoneAgent for months. It runs flawlessly on my iMac and its synchronization with my SONY-Ericsson T630 has always been successful and without fail. If you use any of the supported cellular phones you owe it to yourself to give this useful application a try. Fariborz AMIRSHAHI - Verona (Italy) (Version 1.2.1)

KUNIO MITSUMA I have an unsupported Sony-Ericsson T62u. The author has been VERY helpful with my attempt to connect the phone to PhoneAgent via DCU-11 USB cable. The driver made by Prolific is not quite stable for the chip inside of DCU-11. But, when the connection is established between the phone and PhoneAgent, all features supported by the phone work perfectly with PhoneAgent, including SMS. iSync is great. But, if you want addtional control over phone numbers and the capability of sending & receiving SMS (and MMS for phones that support it), PhoneAgent is an excellent piece of software. WREKS A little clunky to setup with the serial utility and all that (I actually had to read the directions to get it working). Price is a little steep, I was mainly looking at it because isync isn't doing my address book right, this looks like it would work but I can't see myself paying $30 to sync my addresses. Plus the demo won't let me upload to my phone so I can't totally test it. Even without this or isync I can still import/export vcard groups through bt file exchange, it isn't quite as nice but it works. (Version 1.0)

RUSSJ PhoneAgent is the software that completes the Mac OS X BlueTooth and Sony Ericsson T616 experience (T616 is US and T610 is Euro). Combine this application with Salling Clicker and Apple's Own BlueTooth File Exchange and you have a complete BlueTooth suite. Nicely designed application, detailed icon, extremely functional, great manual, outstanding customer support, and easy to use. If you have a Sony Ericsson T616 and Mac OS X, you need this software.
