ANONYMOUS  D-vision could merge the two 700Mb files in a matter of seconds, with no quality loss, same overall size and sound preserved ...

ANONYMOUS  Tried to fuse two 700 Mb >AVI files, using the "medium" quality compression preset (cinepack). I got a soundless AVI film whose video was so horrible that it could not be watched at.

Tried the no compression option and got a 135 Gb (!) file still soundless.

Clearly this app is not for large films and it has serious compression problemss.

A pity they should rewrite and recompress the films entirely to fuse them.

RIP0FF  Having (at least!) the Hide function enabled is greatly appreciated.

On the minus side, an updated interface which doesn't remind us of old OS X versions would not hurt, IMHO.

As for functionality & ease of use, thumbs up !

XYPHER  This actually does work much better than a lot of the other apps out there. I'm ashamed I've never stumped up for the License.

PCHARLES67  I was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews, but so far I have had no problems combining H264 clips into one playable file regardless of whether it is a referenced file or a self contained one. I am then able to use Viddyup to convert the combined file into something for my ipod. Unless I find a major problem I intend to register this because it will help me develop files for the AppleTV.

GLOBEY  Completely non-working and useless.

Failed to do anything but create empty destination files for all attempted operations.

LX  Simple quick and easy. Just needed to split a long video file in order to share with others. Did it in a snap.

UNSPEAKABLE  It doesn't crash, neither does it work the way its suppose to. Neither the self playing file nor the pointer file that this app is suppose to create work at all. After fusing 5 files I received only an empty QT file.

ANONYMOUS  Does exactly as what it claims. Very useful if you need to split up huge .mov files.

ANONYMOUS  Fancy looking interface window that doesn't do much besides offer a spinning beach ball when trying to add .mpg segments.

ANDREW  This is only the case if you are using certain MPEG files, and it is listed as a known problem on the website FAQ. We are working to fix it.

In addition, we are working on audio fusing and splitting.

***½.

MIAH8000  This does "fuse" movie files together, however, they don't play back all the way through in Quicktime. If you grab the tab and pull it across the bar you can see the whole file but when it plays back the movie stops after the first clip would have ended.

ANONYMOUS  If you could make it so mp3's would fuse to mp3's, I would pay, but it fuses to a .mov, and will not play on iPod, unless I change it to .mp3...will that work? if i change a .mov to .mp3?
