AKROBAT  Very good application. Fast, user-friendly and completely WYSIWYG.

I used to use Taco, but now this is the HTML editor of choice... with Taco coming in a close second.

HENRIKTEKNIK  Splendid application! Transparency in the colors - at least for window background - would be awesome.

JONATHANVANQUISH  First I tried a trial of the award winning BBEdit, an excellent program but a little too expensive. After a while I found this program, which offered many features I was looking for in a HTML/PHP editor (validation, live preview, code snippets, unicode support, Javascript console).

Moreover, the developer seems to be open to suggestions and promised to release an universal binary (free for registered 1.x users). Only downside is the stability, which is not really bad and is said to improve in later versions.

ANGELOUSVAMPIRE  HyperEdit is possibly the best web development application for any platform.

For a php or layout specialist you cant go past it.

The price is just the iceing on the cake. You wont find anything cheaper thats upto the quality of HyperEdit

ANONYMOUS  HyperEdit has been my preferred editor for at least a year now. The developer has been responsive and creative which makes for a great application now, but an even better one in the future.

Live preview is a must and the simple power of HyperEdit's features re: html, css, top the cake with icing.

SIMON WOLF  A fantastic application from a very responsive and helpful developer. Although HyperEdit is released as freeware it is definitely worth a donation since it is better than many commercial offerings.

LKM  This is an awesome little text editor. The PHP integration made my day: It's just so much easier to program when you see the errors right away.

I wish syntax coloring was somewhat more elaborate, and I wish it had some more support for HTML and CSS, but hey - it's free, and it's bound to improve!

As soon as I do actually have some money, I will donate to this project.

of course it's features are less than in golive or dreamweaver but it has everything you need, it's amazingly fast, totally easy to use and it's free!!

MIKE PENSON  Every once in a while a brilliant application such as HyperEdit surfaces. As a tool to expedite workflow or, perhaps a teaching aid for newbies there is nothing I am aware of that comes close. Should be included in Apple OS.

ANONYMOUS  Nice start! The live preview is a wonderful feature I've been waiting years for... there are only two things that really need work, in my mind. The first is the ability to see updates to external CSS stylesheets in real time as well, so we don't have to manually include them in the file. The second is better syntax highlighting that isolates HTML attributes, tags, internal strings, JavaScript, etc. Some might say the editor needs more markup features as well, and I suppose I can see why, but I don't see that as a priority. The ability to dynamically generate the code for some random bits and bobs of HTML is nice, but it's not necessary for writing good HTML.

JASON [THEBOX]  As an HTML editor it could use more features. However, it DOES view them in real-time, so I don't have to keep loading the page in Safari. When it gets the full list of features that an HTML editor can get, I'm sure everybody will love it.

Oh yeah, one more thing. That icon is kinda scratchy. I know that's not a big issue, but it could look a little better. =)

ROGER  Oh, this is so bad. The advanced features include bold, italic och a javascript console. Thats it.

Please use Hydra instead.
