MACSIMSKI  after downloading and importing my cards it tells me that it will only export 5 cards. waiste of my time...

anyway, i did a tab export in my regular filemaker database and used addressbooks 10.4 own text importer. works like a charm. so this software is now for the museum

HILTONB  Ah, I see it now! When you download v3.0 you get a package which includes v2.9.1 for earlier versions of FileMaker.

HILTONB  The "minimum requirements" include FMP 5.5, but vCard Creator won't open unless you use FMP 7.

DAVID MULHOLLAND  Every time they update Address Book, I panic.  Thanks to this little program, I can easily convert my FileMaker database into vCards for easy import. Initially my database was unruly, but when I notified them of my problem, they issued a new version that handled it flawlessly. A useful little utility. Well worth the few dollars it cost.

RICHARD CHRISTAIN  Filemaker vCard Creator has now been updated to solve the problems with importing to the Address Book in Panther 10.3. The Panther Applescript has also been simplified and tested. Anybody who cannot get this App to work is welcome to send me an email and I will gladly try and help out. However for most people it works fine.

BOB PAYNE  A very good effort of a much needed utility, but the instructions need a page or two of step-by-step instructions telling:

1. What exactly is a vcard and why you need Creator to transfer addresses to Mail.

2. Understanding the process of doing the transfer; how to use the "data base" provided with Creator and other information to make it eaiser to use.

3, The ignorance distance between the programmer and the user is vast. make vcard so simple to understand anyone can work with it. I couldn't make it work, sorry.

ANONYMOUS  Nice idea, if it worked. Paid my $10, got the release code, created a vcard file but the Panther script doesn't work. Waiting for tech feedback.

LAKE  It looks good.

Tried a bit and appears to do what it says. From FM files to vcard and direct to Address book.

But the resulting cards in the address book lack the special accented characters, such as á, é, ö, etc., necessary for languages as Spanish, French, German .... If there is a way to get these character correctly writen into Address Book (they are correctly shown when imported into the FM File), I will surely use it.
