DOOBIEXX @dev, since you are nice enough to make this great app free for us, donationware I don't think the $5 price tag should be listed as some members might see that and immediately go to something free when they already can get the best in sitesucker for what you think it is worth... AKROBAT Well, this used to be my download app of choice when it came to websites. It really was almost perfect. Tried it out today and for some reason it simply refuses to work. Tried all sorts of sites including my own. "I know" I said to myself, "I'll update it, perhaps my version 2.4.0 is old and no longer works with Leopard". Unfortunately you can no longer download it and the developer's website is down. Looks like I'll have to switch to BlueCrab; though I'll try SiteCrawler & WebDevil also.

DINH I'm looking for an application that can download all the files relating to a website for archiving and evaluation. This is the only application I found that could successfully download my test website. After evaluating the following applications, here is my ranking for website archiving: #1 SiteSucker - The only application to successfully download my test site in entirety. Also the cheapest coincidentally! #2 DeepVacuum - Almost captured the whole site.. But of course missed the backgrounds and other things which I specifically wanted. Second cheapest ($12). #3 Web Devil - Downloaded some of the site. The browsers seem half-baked for site archiving, its more for downloading galleries of images it seems. It is the most expensive application ($35). #4 Blue Crab - Buggy, non-intuitive, and unusable per my previous description. Only file captured after trialing it was a cookies file. Second most expensive app ($25).

MR MAC This thing doesn't work. Tried for hours and all it did was crash each time in 10.2.8 Jaguar. Pagesucker 3.2 gets the job done once you get the hang of setting up your downloads. Don't waste my time.

MAELCUM This is some great app!! I have checked on about 6 different versions of share- and freeware programs to mirror whole web sites, and the winner was sitesucker. Not only a very clean and intuitive interface (drag and drop, pasting) but also a good support for OS X-services menu and an overall low use of memory and cpu time when running. Honestly I would have gone with a shell-command like wget or curl (the latter one even included with OS X) if it weren't for the beauty and simplicity of this small (!) little app. Thank you, Rick.

ANONYMOUS I don't know why all the Web Downloaders don't work like they should, this one makes no exception! Just one easy example: http://www.apple.com/ipod/index.html. Watch the resulting Site from SiteSucker and compare with a captured version of Internet Explorer, and you will clearly see the IE version is more exact (CSS layout), faster and just one button to push! I hope some day Apple will include a offline browsing feature in Safari as good as IE has (the IE PC version is even a little better, for example it includes flash files and movies too when saving).

This may have nothing to do with this app. or any other.
