SPRINGHEELMAC  Ignore the negative comment below! This app is the BEST screen capture tool I've used. Works for ANYTHING, not just DVDs. Simply open it up, place the re-sizable screen on something and click it. It couldn't be easier! Kudos also for the different formats it allows you to save in. Great job!

SCOTTY2SHOTS  Significant delay between submitting a capture command and the actual image capture. Makes precise screen-grabs difficult on-the-fly and time consuming using pause on DVD Player.

ANONYMOUS  Complete garbage! Screen captures come out black, which -- big surprise -- doesn't do anyone any good at all. How about a DVD screenshot app. that works in Panther? Can someone direct all of us that use Panther to a DVD capture app. that actually WORKS!??! ( I've already tried 'DVD Capture 2.5' and that produced the very same black screenshots ). Please help!

OTTO VON PANTS  works great for me in OS X 10.4

i only tried it for getting a still from a DVD movie, but for anything else i can use the grab.app. really simple, but it does what it said it would.

i'm running an older G4 tower with DVD-rom drive. one of the other apps implied some hardware would have issues?
