JKESLER  I wish they actually wrote abou the new features instead of giving us useless advertising copy in the "Whats New" .

"it’s the most flexible Pro Tools software ever!"

Does that mean it has taken gymnastics?

"a revolutionary new way to work with Pro Tools®"

Did they change the user interface and work flow?

"more systems and creative options"

What are they? What is a creative option? "I need more orange?"

"all-new music creation tools"

Such as...?

What a bunch of fluff.

Digidesign, please keep the copywriters away from technical specifications please.

PLANETEN PAULTJE  Did they finally fix the "have to be admin to run it"-madness? That is THE gripe I have with version 6.x of this program.

PRO-TOOLS ASPIRER  Is that for real?

I know Pro-tools is THE daddy, but requires a G5? Would it not run on a G4 of any type?

BRILDENLANCH  I go to fullsail (www.fullsail.com) and Pro Tools runs fine on the mixture of G4's AND G5's we have there.

And I have several friends who run it with no problem on their Powerbooks.

ANONYMOUS  ProTools web site lists the G4 as a supported machine, at least with the 002. See: http://www.digidesign.com/compato/osx/002/

JOEL MUELLER  I don't believe it's officially Panther compatible yet. Their download page only lists 10.2.7 - 10.2.8.
