JULIFOS  If you are talking about the app's icon, it's been more snow-ized than leopard-ized.

KOBALT  After a fresh start this new day, the app icon has changed to the expected slice of citrus fruit. All must be well again. :)

KOBALT  Excellent app! I've been using it to my great satisfaction for a long time now, but never knew I could rotate my dialogue boxes (see screen shot above)! Must try and find that feature. ;)

BOB  A neat little application, it works fine on 10.3.9

(TIP: If you want to set a small split file size instead of the American decimal use a comma.)

Many thanks to the author!

I STILL PREFER MAC THAN WINDOWS  WOW, what a great programm. I downloaded a 700 MB .iso file for windows computer. Because the CD drive of my ibook is damaged, I split that file into two parts and used my 400MB memory stick to move both parts on my windows laptop. There I easily joined both parts together. MacHacha automatically produces a little file for windows, which double clicked then joins both parts. Absolutley fantastic, I love it. Thanks a lot, safed me a lot of time

ANONYMOUS  The concept of this app is outstanding. Double click on the first segment, let it rip through the process, let it name the clip for you from the embedded info, and give you a quick "Done!" banner when done. Too bad the app doesn't work. Every movie I tried to join, failed to even open. Tried it on 2 different Macs. Keep working. I'll be happy when the bugs are out, as this is way easier than Rosetta.

ANONYMOUS  Although the Mac has been littered with a number of these types of utilities MacHacha is one of the first to become open source and has become an indispensible tool for the creation of files to post to or concatenate from newsgroups with an exceptionally simple interface.

However, the simple interface is somewhat misleading, when combined with its apple script abilities and other open source software, it can become a powerful utility capable of segmenting hard drive backups, giving you the ability to backup to CD.

One of the wonderful things about this utility is that the supplied documentation can give the user the power to use the full capabilities of the software, or you can just jump right in and get started using its basic functionality.

With the open sourcing of the project i hope more compression formats will be supported enabling MacHacha to be the swiss army knife of these utilities.
