JOHN E.  I never really new how to play backgammon but have learned to love the game on this software.

I've been using it for over a year and really enough the assisted moves, the look, and the cross platform access (a pc version is available).

Works great on dial up.

ANONYMOUS  Sucks. Could never get it working on my iBook running OS X.3. Emails to their support staff only resulted in autoreplies exhorting me to disable my firewall... I don't *have* a firewall! I told them this and they continued to suggest I disable my firewall... arg!

Sounds like fun if you can ever get freakin' connected to their network.

MATHIAS  This application is a crap. In the "lobby" are a few "system operators" and they love it, to bash you. Then they turn your "wheel of fortune" down, an you'll never win a game again!!! I asked myself: Is this game made from completely idiots?

ANONYMOUS  This ain't the most recent version of GGB...

Wonderful app but far useless if you aren't connected.

What about making it a single player mode in future versions?

ANDREW  i can identify with "anonymous" since in many games the rolls I get seem ridiculous. i seem to get 6-6 when rolling in with great frequency. but i accept that this is because the games are played fast and that i only remember the instances of very good and very bad luck.

MARC GRAY  Anonymous could not be further from correct. He obviously suffers from "selective memory", as do a lot of amateurs, who have no idea just how complex a game B.G. is. This ignorance, coupled with an egotistically-driven refusal to accept an absence of skill, creates the specter of "selective memory."

PAUL FERGUSON  To Anonymous: You're completely wrong about the dice. GamesGrid goes to extreme lengths to insure random dice rolls, and provides extensive documentation and tools to prove it. I suggest you visit the GamesGrid web site for more information. (I am the author of the GamesGrid client for Mac OS X.)

ANONYMOUS  Something is terribly wrong with the site. I've been playing on it for over a year and never have the dice been so screwed up. I am complaining for the players not just myself. The statistics are NOT reflective of real play. There are way too many doubles , for me and for others in games. It is not fun to win by screwed up dice nor to lose by them. It takes the skill out of the game. A statistics wiz (a teacher) came over for two days in a row to rate the stats. He just called me to say they are WAY out of line. So, get busy.

This stinks.
