ARTROOM  Would really love to try this out but i can't get into it, as it just keeps asking me where the Palm Desktop is. There seems to be options in the preferences to not use Palm Desktop, but i can't get there because the program wont let me there until i tell it where Palm Desktop is...

there is a Cancel option, but it doesn't work

DDUBYAB  Please, get rid of that icon! There are others out there as freeware. David, please choose one. Nice app. but dreadfull icon concept and execution. Content over style, yes...but there is a limit!

ANONYMOUS  Having a hard time understanding why I need this in addition to iCal, let alone why I'd want this to display info thats already being displayed in iCal...

ANONYMOUS  Ditto.

I think we get stuff like this when people can't think of a truly useful app to write while they're learning Objective C.

HENRY IN MARYLAND  If you're, as I am, one of those folks who appreciates an application dedicated to doing one thing, and doing it well, Event Reminder is for you. I have been using it ever since I got my eMac with OS X about a year and a half ago, and it's been flawless. Had a couple of issues with the 2.0 beta, and those were resolved overnight. This is one of those "free" applications for which I'd be happy to pay a shareware fee.

ANONYMOUS  Seems to work as described, with lots of possibility. I like the feature in which it imports from both address book and iCal. My biggest complaint is that it loads with unwanted reminders (such as celebrity birthdays - ACK) which one must manually "ignore," then relaunch. Would be much better if it would display iCal events using iCal colors.

DAVID HANAUER  Where are the celebrity birthdays coming from? If they are in an iCal calendar, you can disable that calendar. If they are from the example data file included with the program you can delete/modify the data file or go to the preferences and set the program so that it does not load the file. The birthdays provided with the program are simply an example to show how the program can be used.

ANONYMOUS  OK, so there is a way to change the preferences so the "example" celebrity birthdays do not appear. Now I like the program even more. Forgive me for being ignernt, but I is a writer, not no computer whiz.
