GOSTCODER  Re-write it using a canvas control guys, then it will be useful. RB plugins should only be used as a last resort. Seams like another plugin for sake of making a plugin.

ANONYMOUS  Now lets think about that, a Canvas heh ? 1. You would not get any design mode for the control, which by the way is the whole pupose for a RAD designer like REALbasic. 2. You would not get Panther/Tiger native Appearance. 3. You would not get native Drag manager smooth movements when in non life mode. And what ever makes you say a thing like a plugin should be last resort ? Yes REALbasic 2005 IDE is written in REALbasic, but not the engine it self, all the controls are of course done in C++. Those parts of the engine that have been moved to REALbasic in 2005 are basically the cause for why Applications are 20% larger now. You might want to give that a thought. And last since you said it may have been useful if it had been a Canvas, then it makes me wonder what made it not useful in its current state ? After all it runs on all operating systems, MacOS Classic, MacOS X, Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP, Linux systems and with native theme rendering (which a canvas does not).
