STEVEHHH  This, like a number of applications, does not work properly in Leopard. However, this developer appears to have disappeared as of about 2004, and there seems to be no way to contact him. It's a shame-it was a nice application!

LARRY2  Great app for desktop trash. However on macbook pro(intels) there is a serious memory leak. If your computer start running abnormally and you have this app running open your activity monitor and check the memory usage for this app. The virtual memory can reach as high as 1gb and real memory as high as 225mb. that is alot for a utility app. Not recommended for intels until it is updated. All that said - Stability - is the ONLY problem with this app.

FLARCH  I have a lot of items in my dock which makes my trash very small and i like to be able to drag. Nice feature set too... or so it appears.

I've noticed various quirks. I set it displays the # of items in the trash in vertically clipped text so i turned on the option to use a plain font and color of my choice. It displayed it at first, then disappeared.

It HOGS far more than it's share of CPU power. It never seems to show as completely idle, and sometimes takes as much as Activity Monitor itself!

It doesn't play very well with USB overdrive either.

Once upon a time i thought this looked good but i didn't need it because i was using DragThing. Now i could go back to Dragthing just for the desktop trash and use less CPU! Throughout the time i observed it, iCan had 6 threads and never dropped below 1.4% CPU on my ole G4. (OS 10.3.8) )8^(

NICK  Like many of the other reviewers, I purchased version 3.0.4 of iCan, only to find that after a couple of weeks it started to do it's job unreliably. Now, I can only drag files to the trash successfully about 1/3 of the time.

It's always a smack in the face to support a software developer who develops bad software or who doesn't update it so that it will continue to work with the current version of the OS. It just seems like another bait and switch scheme to me.

ANGRY ABOUT THAT PUNK  sorry again, doesnt work (10.3.4) in many point: only sometimes (about 40%) dragging files on the trash does move them to trash. that sucks!

setting preferences to "Double click to : Open it" causes just opening of context menu.

I´ve paid for it, now I will delete it.

Maybee another update will work? Less options would be great in the preferences. It´s kind of overstuffed, might be a reason for failure.

ICAN, SO CAN YOU  This is the 3.0 release an does work quite well with OS X 10.3.3. iCan rounds out my GUI with a complementing desktop trash can of my choosing. I especially like the menu driven features...a welcome addition to already outstanding operating system. My friends see it and always chuckle as they expect it from me, but when they see how nice it is and how it works, they're sold.

LARRY  Like it alot. Purchased trashx when OSX was launched. liked it too. I can has many more option ans the shredder is faster. The best featuee is it list the number of items in the trash and also in the menu bar. Very cool. I'm excited for the future delevopmet although in my opinion nothing esle is needed. don't know what The price will be so I did not rate that, but I will pay.

NECESSITY ISN'T ALWAYS NECESSARY  I suppose it probably is superfluous, but it's kinda handy for stubborn files and as a fan of customization, i kinda like it.

Plus, if you've got a jillion items in your dock, that can gets pretty tiny and with magnification it can take precious extra microseconds to get your dragged items lined up with the can as it grows. ;-)

ANONYMOUS  Well made but I found it Superfluous and unecessary.

Still, if you're the sort of person that can't use Apple + Del OR the 'Trash' icon on the toolbar OR the normal Doc trashcan (3 choices there) then maybe this thing is for you.

MURILø CINZENTø  Hi dears.

I do the download of the "ICan"and the program work fine in any vrsion what i try.I thing the ICan is the best solution for "locked" filesand the look of the trash is better because you can choice between icons to show the trash. And better you can pay for the KAGI page what work well with people what live in Lisboa(So diferent fo PayPal because this suckers refuse all the time the information what i write in the "pay system"
