I use the Pro version basically only as a visual todo manager. For me it beats the pantaloons of dedicated todo managers. Am I mad? Yes, but very very serious.
Lovely. Manages my Kindle ebooks. Converts epubs and even the occasional pdf (pdf on the Kindle is not so great though). Have donated, this app deserves it.
The most momentous disaster I have ever witnessed in software development.
It was clear early in the beta process that the developers didn't have the foggiest of what they were doing.
Something about this app other than the features puts a smile on my face. The reliability, the ultra conservative design. When in life you decide to stop messing about you turn to BBEdit.
When you ask a Rolls Royce salesman about speed, horsepower, rpm or torque you'll get one answer. "It is sufficient."
Don't ask about features of BBEdit, they are sufficient.
5 stars it is. Being able to call fellow humans on earth for free is to me still incredible. Better call quality than telephones and you can even see the other person if you want. Unbelievable.
The interface is worse than before, granted. But a quick preferences cleanup: list view, online status on top makes things better. When I get lost in the interface I reorient myself by clicking on Contacts at the top left.
I like many parts of this app but I really hate that oversized toolbox. I'm constantly fiddling with this damn toolbox. Moving it to the other side, opening it, closing it, half hiding it on the side etc. I think on the small screens of MacBooks this is quite a serious flaw.
Great, just great. The glorious browser integration just kills off all other apps in the field of password management. Dropbox integration and the robust syncing with the lovely iPad app ($10 extra) is the banana on top.
But there was a brief dark time, when the evil Safari 5.1 (and Lion) came out and 1Password rewrote the extensions. And the extension for a few weeks was very bad. Chaos and visions of hooded men with scythes erupted on the web and the 1Password forums. I even wrote an insulting forum post (sorry evangelists) But they fixed it and all is good and even better than before.
Love it. Vey easy to set up and all the features are logical to use. I run Windows 7 (32-bit). It is important for me to be able to use Internet Explorer. In unfortunate parts on this planet some of us still need this beastly web browser to log onto many websites. I also run some chess programs in Windows 7 and all is fine. (Chess on the Mac is abysmal btw) These programs are not graphical nor memory hungry. Better use Bootcamp for big time gaming I think.
