Jimblu, I'm using a Mac MINI, not a MacBook or MacBook Pro. The issue continues.
However, just today 10.6.2 has come out, so I'll give it a shot.
Regardless of whether or not this fixes my Photoshop issues, I'm still VER....RY DISAPPOINTED with Apple. This is the freakiest, buggiest, poorest-performing OS that I can recall (and I've been using APPLE since OS 7.6).
P.S. The Apple commercial where they're poking fun at Windows 7 ... how ironic is that? "Trust me." - Steve Jobs
I don't if anyone else is having this problem, but I'll be in the middle of Photoshop project and ... BAM ! ... the screen goes to blue and I lose all my work. Is this a kernel panic or some such thing? I recall in TIGER (10.4) seeing a screen indicatng such. However, nothing in S-L. This poor cat needs a bath with flee-dip ... it's REAL BUGGY !
Misha, I tried your suggestion but I can't interpret all the info this process spews out. I'd like to do a clean install, but I can't figure out how. Any suggestions.?
What a "Clunker"! It's slow-loading ... sometimes to the point that it seems to stall in mid-stream. When I try using Firefox on the same webpages ... Voia! They're up. Maybe it's just me, but even my older version of Safari (2.0.4) outperforms Safari 4.
Many thanks to the developer(s). This program is absolutely FABULOUS !
I studied NT Greek & OT Hebrew/Aramaic (years ago) when I was in seminary and I wish I had had this tool all along. These days my Greek & Hebrew are sketchy, but I intend to put in 5 minutes each study day going over some of these charts. Hopefully this will jog my memory.
Also, if you want real help with your Greek & Hebrew reading skills, look into Concordia Seminary's "Lectionary at Lunch" series on their website. That has helped me ENORMOUSLY in my personal study. The sessions are available as podcasts through the iTunes store and are completely FREE. They are FABULOUS for improving one's familiarity and comfort with the original languages.
For two days not I have been trying to download this program. However, the file refuses to mount. Any suggestions on what I can do to overcome this obstacle? Thank you. (OS X 10.3.9)
I'm curious. My "Software Update" didn't pick this up as being required by my 10.4.11. But I downloaded it anyway. It won't load because it says I need the earlier release(s). So I downloaded them all the way back to release 6. I continue to get the same message: I need an earlier release. 1) Am I doing something wrong? 2) How does one tell about JAVA on one's computer? 3) Do I even need it? If someone can recommend some info on this, I should be appreciative. - Lee
