Been using Skitch in beta for more than a year. I would give it 6 stars if I could. It's never crashed or choked. I gladly upgraded to the paid version.
Just noticed that there is no way to export/write GeoTags to the EXIF data of your images. Geographic data is stored in a database, separate from the image. You have to pay for the pro version if you want this function.
The program also creates a large database that contains copies of all your original photos. While this may be safe, there isn't a way to turn this off if all you want to do is geotag images without maintaining yet another image database.
The developers lost their way as they set out to produce a GeoTagging app. What they ended up with is a photo editing tool with GeoTagging support tacked on.
The core functionality (GeoTagging) s buried in a dialog box that is easily overlooked on the last page of the main dialog box.
Since it's a free program, it's hard to knock it on value. It does work and seems stable. It offers a bunch of export options like making Flash galleries and uploading to Flickr.
All those are smart and well executed features that make the contrast between program's poor corp functionality and it's bells & whistles all the more stark.
Out of the two years I've been a registered user, I think this app has been working about 3 months.
First, my PS3 would disconnect after a few hours and not be able to recconect without rebooting the mac. Then after an update, the pref pane stopped loading.
I had emailed with the devs a few times but it seems they lost interest in debugging my problem after I sent them the log.

Savvy Clipboard
The only addition I'd like to see is a sliding dock that keeps it out of the way until you roll over a tab, al la DragThing.
