I tried different Miro versions from time to time since when it was still called Democracy Player. I always loved the idea, but the application itself was always bloated, slow and produced a lot of errors and crashes.
I just downloaded version 2.5, which is advertised, as being much faster. The Miro Guide* had some smaller rendering bugs, but nevermind. I downloaded 5 videos from different feeds, everytime an error message popped up. I then deleted the old preference file and started Miro again. Still the same errors as before, except now it won't even show me the Miro Guide.
I'm running this on Mac OS X 10.5.7 on a PowerPC G4.
Seriously, this is a huge disappointment. Fix this!
