First crash under v4.01. Whilst waiting for a WIndows OS update to complete, I went and clicked on About VMware Fusion menu item and caused a crash. Fortunately the VM seemed to be well protected. Upon restart, the VM just popped up like exiting sleep mode and picked up where it was before the crash. So it was bad to see a crash but good that there seemed to be some protection.
Noisy. Really don't see the use of this application. It's not a noise cancelling application, more a noise generator. Maybe it's of use to some, but I haven't discovered its value. Otherwise the software works and didn't encounter any crashes. "Good" value when free I guess.
Was an excellent ad blocker for Safari but recent versions has caused significant performance hits on user's browsing experience. Completely unacceptable given that we Mac users should be enjoying one of the fastest browsing experiences around. As others have suggested, Glimmer Block seemed to be the best alternative at this point in time.
Interesting. After 2 reinstalls and reboots, all the features are back. Initially ClicktoFlash menu disappeared and even Glim disappeared under Safari's Preference window. Ummm...
Just note that the full installer for 2.0.2 with McAfee VirusScan installer is 286Mb while the lite version without McAfee is 187Mb. Both are available on VMware's site.
I agree. Another one of those faceless companies offering free "secure data" service. What's in it for them? Why should I trust my data with them? By using it, I would be routinely feeding all my data to them. Using public WiFi, at least there's a random nature as to which bits of data a hacker can sniff.
Crash galore on startup on my MacBook Pro 13" on 10.7.2. A dialogue box would pop up asking rebuild database or not. Irrespective of which option I choose, it'll crash. Not good at 4.0.
Works great generally but for Youtube.com. Kept on getting a fainted Quicktime icon with a white question mark over it in Safari 4.0.3 (Mac OS X 10.6). Had to open Firefox to see those video clips.
Used Pacifist and extracted the application enclosed. No ideas why they bothered to use an installer when there's just the standalone application. There's no extension or other external components.
It crashes out on my new MacBook under 10.4.6. Tried to delete its database and preference file, nothing worked. We need an UB version to get this working on Intel Macs I suspect.
Nice little utility that I've used for quite some time now. With this version, I noticed that the installer does not seem to like directory names containing "_" and/or "-". I had to install in the Applications directory rather than one of my sub-directory.

I don't need that extra 100Mb of download.

Ended up finding the OsiriX folder in ~Users/Documents and deleting it. Problem fixed.
Q: What's OsiriX's relationship with SIri?
