I have a Garmin Forerunner 305 which connects to my Mac via USB. I, too, was unable to get anything off of the Garmin with this application. It just says:

Don't know if it's compatible with my Forerunner, but there doesn't seem to be a list so hard to say.
I know that Garmin's been promising Mac support for a while, but I've only been aware of them since Garmin Training Center for Mac came out. I got a Forefunner 305 a month ago and I've been nothing short of impressed. The unit itself is amazing, but the integration with the Mac has been flawless. Training Center, WebUpdater...they just work.
It helps that there are some other enterprising individuals (the developers for TrailRunner and LoadMyTracks) who have opened up the possibilities even more.
I never imagined that I'd be in the market for a GPS device for the car, but after my experience so far, I'm considering it. If you want new customers, this is the way to get them.
