Frankly, I cannot imagine going back to the pre-1Password world. It's so good that I just bought my second Family license for our Windows computers. Main reasons for using it: 1) Unique passwords/usernames per account significantly reduce the impact of any security breach. 2) This combined with a comfortable way of actually using all those unique passwords/usernames by filling out the forms semi-automatically. This combination rocks.
Excellent little program. Does exactly what you would expect. No surprises. Necessary for anybody who prefers to use Finder in one language (in my case French) and certain programs in another language (in my case English). An example for a program which I use only in English is Pixelmator or Photshop because I am used to all those terms in English and when the program starts in French I am lost. For your information: In Mac OS X 10.5 you could still change the language in "Information". This now longer works in 10.6.
Mail.Appetizer is now compatible with Snow Leopard. The product shows incoming mail in a translucent, overlapping window. A bit like Growl but in a larger window in which you can actually read the text (not the pictures!) and decide directly whether to delete it or to take other actions. It's a huge productivity improvement because you don't need to open mail and interrupt your work. The product is a plug-in for mail.app and is fully customizable via mail preferences. Very nice integration, very unintrusive.
Mathusalem answers all my wishes for a back-up solution: Tested it with 600 MB worth of data sent to iDisk, S3 and to external disk and all three work like a charm. I especially like the way the retrieve function was designed. I had to do some experimenting with different settings because the documentation is not as good as with a commercial product. On the other hand you get a very little intrusive piece of software which works quite intuively.
