This app has been a problem for me as well: segments are messed up, crashes, even "save" and "save as" that report errors.

The failing "saves" suggest to use Treasured, an app to diagnose problem files. When turned lose on my QuickTime files -- which operate everywhere but within SimpleMovie -- Treasured "has not found any known media type in the file. Moreover, the file is unlikely to contain a movie. Large segments of the file do not contain media, of any sort. Therefore, the chances of repair are low."

I've been using a beta since (I think) Spring of 2008, and there are a couple of suggestions that really need to get implemented. While the software works just fine, I'm a bit concerned that it's being ignored.

I'm wondering just how active Freeverse will be with this application. It's still giving me fits with AIFF saves, and they have not even updated the About dialog since they procured it from FeltTip.
