As a Mac user for 25 years this newest 5.0 BETA has a long ways to go.

- First off I have to agree - WHAT A HUGE WASTE OF SPACE!!? It takes at least 5 times the real estate of the old version to see the same content. It is like they hired the CTO from Jitterbug cell phones to design this. THeir team must be ex-Sr. Windows Mobile developers. It would even be too large a space on an iPhone.

- The "mac-like" portion is maybe because it has a sidebar? But you cannot drag and drop anything. LIke I want to add a person to a Contact Group I already have. I can SEE both, why not let me drag them? No I have to be in a certain mode and THEN I can RIGHT-CLICK and add them. How do I remove someone from a Contact group? PLEASE TELL me cause I cannot figure it out.

- NO FONT adjustments whatsoever. You can make text smaller, but the space around it is the same? What?

- Nice little online contact window you can open - SINGULAR functionality. Cannot make any calls or start a chat just double click and it will do the default.

- Searching chats - not sure how that is done. I brought up an old chat and went to the search input field and typed and all it did was find contacts - did not show me where in the chat I had referred to that text at all.

- Avatar view - Did they just have a burning desire to use CoverFlow? I really really wanted to see some tiny icons expanded so I could see their pixels clearly so thanks for that. Don't even think about trying to make that single window smaller - it aint going to shrink those hughe and hugely useless iconic pictures people have put out there. And if you really THINK it is COVERFLOW you are wrong. DOn't try to drag left or right and scroll through the list - no siree. Just click on the one behind left or right and it will replace the current one ONE CLICK AT A TIME!!
