Well isn't this fantastic. Just bought Office over the weekend at the Apple store, installed last night, and now I can't update because a 'version of Office...' is not found on my computer.
Hmm, as of this morning (1030am EST), the website still says 1.3.10 is the latest version, and when I check for updates, same thing. I know 1.4 is in RC status, so maybe someone jumped the gun?
I'm pretty sure this project is dead. I tried going to the site linked from here and it says the domain is for sale. Too bad; I was excited when this first came out.
Well, it seems to do SMS so far. One problem I do have is that every minute or so a window will pop up "Error while trying to call. Error code: (null)."
Note, I haven't attempted to try calling; this error appeared on startup of the app as well. Aside from that annoyance, it seems to work well for SMS.
I take that back: the SMS feature isn't working either. I sent a test message as I wrote my comment and it appeared to go through. After no response after 5 minutes, I sent a test via the website and that went through.
Coming from Windows, I used Picasa to edit and organize my photos. Since it ties in with my Gmail account, I can upload my pics to the web as well as send an email from within the program. Now, Mac users of course will point out that iPhoto does all of this and more, but I challenge them to try this out and give it a test. Since I don't feel MobileMe is worth the price for what is offered, you can't beat a free product with 1GB free storage for your photos. There are also more filter options and edits in Picasa than iPhoto, and Picasa is blazing fast. I've tried iPhoto and it does do the job, but I found it to be sluggish on my 2.4GHz Intel iMac with 4GB RAM.
I've downloaded Picasa for Mac and am very impressed with what Google is providing to Mac users. Again, give it a try and an honest run before being quick to judge.
Of course, tomorrow Apple may introduce a new iPhoto version that is better, now that Picasa is out. :)
I understand that you can't click for a new tab if you don't have one already. This is also under the assumption that the "Show tab bar" option isn't selected. If it is, double-clicking works just fine.
Second, the feature of opening a new page when you create a new tab is already in the Safari 4 developer builds, which is freely available to anyone with a free developer account through Apple.
I'm not criticizing this app, especially since Safari 4 is just a developer preview and not finalized yet. Just making everyone aware of the options before they spend the money and then complain about it.
Will not start on 17" iMac Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM. Interesting note, the crash log mentions wrong architecture? Trying to open in Rosetta gives the same result.
