This app allows you to play a movie, select frames with precision, and export them as a directory of images, and the opposite as well. Very useful.

The application doesn't get very far on my MacBook. As soon as I have typed a few characters, it hangs indefinitely (in QThreadStorageData > QHostInfo > QWaitCondition, says Activity Monitory).

I don't get the reason for such a utility. Other lossless compressors (usually based on predictive linear Hoffman coding) reach a factor 2 consistently. iTunes has it built in.
