I came to VueScan after using SilverFast for about five years with my Microtek 9800XL. SilverFast was (and still is) no compatible with Lion so reluctantly I did a crossgrade to VueScan. I haven't looked back. I'm getting results that are at least the equal of those I achieved with SilverFast. I prefer the interface. And the developer is friendly and responsive. Not to mention the massive price difference.
