Opera

Swisher reviewed on 30 Apr 2010
I allowed opera to automatically update to 10.53. Ever since it crashes every time I try to launch it. Version 10.52 was working fine and the next 5 minutes it won't launch at all. Now I can't find a version 10.52. Beware of this version. I will NEVER allow Opera to auto update again.

PhoneValet Home Edition

Swisher reviewed on 15 May 2009
This is a very poor, buggy app. that wasted a lot of my time. When I tried to get help in setting it up they said they had no tech support but referred me to the manual. My son and I downloaded it but still could not get basic functions to work. Once we got it set up it suddenly stopped recognizing incoming calls for no reason and other features did not work as advertised. They said if I wanted the really useful features I would have to buy their "Message Center" and "Anywhere" apps for a total of $219 plus tax. No thanks. The one positive feature I can recommend is their un-installer.

Opera
Swisher commented on 05 Aug 2008
This is the best browser in many respects. My problem has been accessing secured sites. One site, that uses RealPLayer to stream, set in motion an auto reload of the page that could not be stopped no matter how many times I restarted Opera. I had to shut down the browser and trash "Autosave.win" found in user>library>preferences>opera preferences>sessions>autosave.win. Then all worked OK unless I try to load the site again. Many of my secure access sites that require a log-in do not work so I am forced to use Safari or Firefox. The ability to set Opera to display itself as IE, Forefox or some other is vital to me, otherwise I will be forced to refrain from using the best browser I have found yet.
[Version 9.51]
