Ever since Senuti, the best freeware option for ipod extraction for years, went shareware, PodWorks is now the best option as it has all the features you'd want in a program like this and it's only $8.
All the other good options I've seen: Senuti, iPodRip, etc are at least $15.
This software looks crazy hideous. Please do everybody a favor and go check out Bookit which has a nice mac interface and is more affordable than Bookdog anyway.
sure, it may do more, but perhaps it could be said that anyone who is using a bookmark sync app for more than what Bookit does, and is compelled to look at software like this instead, should perhaps re-evaluate their strategy for bookmarks.
As for excusing the user interface of this app because the developer is a Hardware Engineer, seems to me that even someone who isn't confident in designing UIs, could do better than BookDog if they just stuck with Apple's development tools. I'd find it hard to believe that BookDog's UI was designed in ye ole' Interface Builder.
Seems to me hardware engineers might prefer to develop CLI based apps, or hiring a UI designer (consultant), or perhaps finding a gig engineering hardware instead.
too bad this never got updated again, I liked it, created a nice extra nerdy effect for the desktop too. I use MenuMeters, but sometimes I still want process level status at a glance.
I'm really enjoying this app so far. I've wanted some way to access my Yojimbo library remotely for a while. The current imterface seems to be a bit awkward on the iPhone, but the dev says there is an iphone specific interface on the way, which is even more exciting.
this looks like exactly what I wanted! The SABNZBd install instructions were a bit confusing and there were a few dependencies that I had trouble getting to install without error. So a prepared binary for sabnzbd is a very wonderful thing.
Accounts Enhancer was a great solution for this back in 10.3, but it has been unreliable and seems to have been left dead in the water by its developer since the release of 10.4 Tiger.

I use and enjoy the Google Notifier software, it works as advertised, and I'm glad to see Google doing more Mac software. But, the older version was able to use Growl notifications, which I prefered over the homegrown solution that is now included in Google Notifier.
Until google starts supporting Growl notifications instead of their own system, then I'll just use this without the visual notification, and just have it in my menubar. I know this is a minor thing to gripe about, but it matters to me, I don't want two different kinds of non-standard screen notifications.
For those that aren't familair with Growl, go to http://growl.info
If you are looking to re-route certain apps audio output to different sources, than you should look into Rogue Amoeba's Detour which is no longer in active development, but I heard it still works fine.
This is a replacement for Exchange, it is much more than just a mail server. Email, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks, available anywhere with internet access. All for much cheaper than Microsoft Exchange.
