Like the new version number policy or not, but it's a fact that Firefox has improved a lot in way less time lately. It's once again a strong competitor along with Chrome and Webkit which is good news for innovation and future development of any browser. As a result the dire days of cross-browser compatibility nightmares for developers like me are slowly fading. Time to say thanks and upvote a great initiative (particularly in the light of some trolls casting ill-founded one-star ratings recently).
I have to agree with Rybu03051. This app looked very promising when I bought it two years ago, but no significant updates have been released every since. Invoicing as is doesn't work for me and a corresponding feature request died after a short period of involvement.
It appears, the makers of On the Job have shifted to the more lucrative iPhone app market. Maybe the Mac App store will eventually spark a revival, until then, place it somewhere between abandonware and Duke Nukem Forever.
Okay, it lacks some features, but the reason why this app didn't survive the first day of my trial: It stopped responding to click events on whatever element more than once. Cmd-Q and restart fixes this, still, I prefer to stick to the even more lightweight but stable and free DEPOTset.
If you don't want to click twice all the time (first to focus the window, second e.g. to select a tool), open a terminal and issue the following command:
OSXplanet is less expensive, but hey, what's 8 bucks for a replacement that really works on Leopard?
However, there's quite some room for features. And it would be nice if the overall and nightshadow saturation/contrast could be controlled in order to improve the visibility of the icons on the desktop.
Here's how to rip it off your Mac again:
sudo /Library/eBookLibrary/uninstall-eBookLibrary.sh
You might want to check out Calibre for the time being. It's clumsy and heavy, but no segfaults there:
