"Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6.x) killed the ability to use the scanning controls on the Brother MFC-7840W -- now I have to use the (AWFUL) Apple software printer interface. Sadly, this update did not fix that problem."
Several months ago, I used Data Rescue to recover files from a Mac-formatted external drive. Data Rescue was able to recover the files when other tools and methods failed. That part was great!
However, it appears that some piece of information (header data?) on each file was stripped off during the recovery. The result was that nearly all of the recovered files cannot be used -- disk images won't open (are seen as corrupt), FileMaker databases and most other document types won't open, etc.
I wonder if there are any ideas about why this happened, and how to restore functionality to those files?

I just want to thank all those who are working on this project.
I love Eudora -- I could not transfer to Apple Mail without missing individual mailbox windows, many of the tweak settings, Ultimate Eudora Plug-In features, etc.
I am sure I could make a wish list, but I am also sure you have enough to do -- if I could make one quick request, it would be to have the Apple Services menu functions work properly with selected message text (recognizing it as text).
Right now I am still using 6.2.4, but I am grateful for your work and eagerly awaiting reports of a stable, robust Eudora user experience from your efforts.

In version 2.7, that is all still true.
What's up, Apple? Brother?

I really do not think I should have to use a third-party product for this.

…but VoxOx crashes (quits) every time I open it and go to settings (to set audio preferences, e.g.).

I think these folks are going to need to get some responsive tech support if they are going to get off the ground…
