Dates to iCal

Steba reviewed on 26 Aug 2006
Adds the very much needed alarms for birthdays to iCal. It's very easy to set up and just works.
Only real flaw is the need to delete the birthday calendar to bring changes in Dates to iCal to effect. But as this is a fast and seldomly needed process I can live with it.

FontExplorer X Pro

Steba reviewed on 17 Apr 2006
Using FontExplorer now for some weeks, and I'm really happy with it. Autoactivation maybe doens't work 100% all the time, but for accepting this you get a fast and intuitive font managing solution. The before mentioned problem with activating only compelte families is mildered by the speed of activation. Even if you activate some hundred fonts, it will only take some seconds. Say 1,2,3 and you're done.
I really can recommend FontExplorer. Especially to those who use Suitcase. You will be blown away by the speed of FontExplorer.

SyncTogether

Steba reviewed on 08 Feb 2006
MySync is a great idea, but a worse realization. After synching I had half of my mailboxes in Mail as doubles. But worse, the mailboxes had only empty messages in it. "These E-Mail hasn't been dowloaded from the server..." Too bad these mails were years old and the servercopy long gone. Too good that I had a current backup of my system.
And then it didn't sync the Adressbook properly, leaving some stuff out.
I'm back to manually copying the files from master to slave. Not so convinient, but safe.
DO NOT USE WITHOUT BACKUP! Or don't use it anyhow. Maybe all this will work properly, when it will hit 1.0. Hope so, then it's a great tool by the idea.
