I also can't run Descent 2 (D2X) on my iMac G4 700Mhz, 10.4.3. What gives? It runs just fine on my PowerMac 466 Mhz, 10.4.3 at work! (hee hee)
Really though, why is this a problem? Do different Macs, even those running the same OS, handle files differently? If any developers read this thread maybe this bit of info will help. When I restarted my Mac, which I had to do because Descent got stuck on the black screen at startup, the disk image and all of the files were nowhere to be found on my computer. Even searching with Spotlight turned up no results. Like I never even downloaded it. This sucks, I want to play some Descent at home! From the other responses, I know that this has something to do with my particular computer. Can anybody resolve this problem once and for all?
