I hadn't planned to write a review but was pretty surprised that someone wrote anything bad about this app.
First off, for a 1.0 release NewsRack is very polished. I've seen apps that have been out for years that don't work as well. The UI works just as you expect it to - I haven't had to hunt for a feature or a control. Second, it's stable. What can I say, it just works. Finally, I've used it since it was released and it's great for both reading and managing my RSS feeds.
I had a question early on and the developer got right back to me. Actually, he even followed up with a second email that explained why he programmed the control the way he did.
NewsRack needs FB integration and I'd like to hide feeds where all the items are already read, but these aren't huge issues to me. The Dev said he was working on adding FB and I forgot to ask about the other.
Worked great on Leopard but 10.6 breaks MediaLink.
Sent an email to the developer and -- shocker! -- no reply. Same as last time I emailed with them a question. No blog on their site saying what's happening one way or the other.
VectorDeigner has been a fun, educational experience for me, a newbie vector artist. It's fun and easy to use, and very accessible. There are good powerful features here, and they're simple to use and surprisingly powerful.
The new "VectorDesigner Video Tutorials" have been excellent, extremely helpful for a newbie like me or perhaps for a vector artist looking to quickly learn a few new helpful features.
I recommend VectorDesigner to anyone looking for a clean and simple intuitive vector application. Great stuff!
So far this has been exceptional - no crashes, predictable behavior, great features.
My plan is to use it to track contacts - last time I spoke with someone, what we talked about, actions I took, etc. For me this is just plain great. Bento integrates well with iCal and Address Book, and best of all I can create custom fields to add the features that I need.
The built-in search and saved/advanced searches feature has also been solid to use. A saved search tells me who I haven't called in 3 weeks, etc. Mail.app integration would be helpful but for my needs it's not essential. I'd also like to see a better manual.
Apple/FileMaker pretty much made precisely the product I needed and just when I need it. Looking forward to the release version. $50 is a bargain.
I've sent messages asking how to disable caller ID block and gotten no response, and I never heard back when tried to get the SMS to report my mobile phone number as the sender.
Caller ID being blocked by default is ridiculous. I've signed up for Skype Pro and thought I would be able to solve my Skype problems using Skype's website; near as I can tell the only thing the website makes easy is billing.
After a month of using this application I can say this: It's pretty - gorgeous even - but it simply doesn't do very much.
The weather function? The app shows clouds and it displays the temperature of the city selected on the icon. Atlas? It shows countries on mouseover. Wow.
I like the screensaver it comes with though - looks great.

For $7 it's a great deal.

ForkLift
Using Quick Look annoyingly resizes the sidebar but it's a start.

Photon
The speed is quite impressive but the price is excessive given the limited functionality.
