DWL-122 Driver
skj commented on 28 Jan 2007
Maybe I spoke (wrote) to fast. I installed the 1.4.7 driver, restarted, plugged in the adapter but couldn't find the adapter in the dlink wireless utility in the system preferences (wireless device unavailable). The adapter does work in my pc laptop and in the iMac but only with KisMAC.

Any ideas?

Tried it a few more times with no success. The adapter works with KisMAC but with its own driver (doesn't come up in the Dlink utility.)

This is what I did. Installed the driver, then restarted. Inserted the adapter. Nothing.

Next I tried inserting adapter first then, installed the driver. Same results.

Lastly, I removed the driver. Inserted the adapter, installed KisMAC, configured it and started scanning; found my network (so I think the adapter works.) Don't really want to have to hack my own network everytime.

What gives???

DWL-122 Driver

I'm new to this mac thing, so please bear with me.

I've got an iMac 400 w/10.3.9 running on it. I just picked up a Netgear MA111 v.1. I'm looking for this magical dlink 1.4.7 driver all over the internet and can't seem to find it. The link provided here goes to a 1.3.2 version and that doesn't seem to get the adapter working on my machine. When I tried KisMac and it was able to find available network in the area, including mine.

Am I gonna have to hack my own WEP router?!?!

I feel like an idiot. I've type ver or v instead of version.

Mucho gracias!

now to the install.
