GrowlTunes

For some reason the useful track history of the pre-MAS/2.0 version has been dropped and will hopefully return in a future update.

VideoDrive
sjk commented on 02 Feb 2012
The summary description says "Add movies to iTunes without converting them", while the full description seems to contradict it with "Advanced conversion settings, including support for QuickTime X, Elgato.264 HD and HandBrake". Maybe the former needs updating to something like "Add movies to iTunes, with optional conversion"?

Does OS X really need yet another video conversion app, especially just a FFmpeg GUI wrapper? Yawn.

Visit Developer's Site link here still refers to defunct http://ripitapp.com/ instead of http://thelittleappfactory.com/ripit/.

NoPageCache Safari Extension

I'd like to know a few specific extensions that page cache disabling could be useful with.

Why is 8.0.9 available here while the download link on the developer's site is still for 8.0.7?

Thanks for the quick feedback and fix, Rob. MU has announced versions newer than what's on your site for awhile, which is why I was questioning it.

Spotify
sjk commented on 22 Dec 2011
Hey, Spotify. Please post some release notes so we can know things like, for example, what's changed that makes v0.8.0.1035 over twice the size (56MB) as month-old v0.6.5.2 (24MB).

Figured out this newly added ~35MB library (of unknown purpose) is what caused the significant size increase:

A countdown timer before recording starts, analogous to Capture > Timed Screen in Grab for screen captures, would be a useful feature.

AFAIK this only monitors for I/O errors on drives that support S.M.A.R.T. and it would be useful if it could do that on *all* drives.

EyeTV
sjk commented on 30 Nov 2011
- Improved UI and overall performance

What specific UI improvements?

Still wish that Escape would close the Show Detail and Show Info screens. And the back arrow at the top of Show Detail seems silly considering that clicking anywhere in that screen (except the non-obvious IMDb link) will close it. And what's the purpose of the never activate front arrow there?

*Still* no "move marker to playhead" keyboard shortcuts in the editor that I've been requesting for years, similar to QuickTime Player 7's "Move In/Out marker to playhead location" shortcuts and commonly in other apps with video editing (e.g. MPEG Streamclip).

Not sure where you'd like that button, but there's the Shift-Command-L shortcut for Controls > Last Channel when you're using a keyboard. And the EyeTV profile for the HippoRemote app, that I sometimes use to control EyeTV with my iPhone, has a "last channel" button.

Error with 2.1:

2007-06-07 09:48:55 -1000: There was an error retrieving the XML data from Twitter. The error message is "can't find host".

Deleting preferences didn't help. 2.0 works fine.

I've been using WH Lite and just installed WH 1.0.1 to evaluate. All webnotes from WHL imported fine but I quickly noticed that the Tag Browser doesn't update properly when adding/deleting tags. Same symptoms with a clean install on another system. Not sure if this is new problem with 1.0.1 since I'd never used 1.0.
